Bypassing battleship 5 to fly carrier glitch

Alright, so against my better wisdom I did what everyone eventually does and forgot to upgrade my clone.

Podded. Lost Gallente Battleship lvl 5.

Even though I have lost the battleship lvl 5 skill for Gallente I am still able to fly my Thanatos. Is this acceptable? and can I get in trouble for this (for violating some EULA rule I haven't caught) ?

To be sure you'd have to file a petition, but as far as I know, it's completly intended.

To fly a thanatos, you don't need battleship 5, you need Gallente Carrier 1 (and other skills). And CCP has ways to avoid that.

You need Large Projectile Turret 4 for 800m repeating artillery II, but Large autocannon requires Level 5. So you're allowed to use it you loose 5 (or they would have put 5).

Ofcourse Thanatos already requires 3 skills and doesn't seem something can require more than 3. However as I just mentioned, they thought about it and been that way for years. I'm pretty sure you're safe :)

AIUI, this is the normal, intended behavior. Gallente Carrier (for instance, other skills are the same way) still works even if you somehow lose the prereq skill.

bs 5 is a prereq to train gall Carrier 1 bs5 is not needed to fly a Carrier L2P eve
