That, in the post I have linked, is the first official response we have had from CSM/CCP. They said the petition would be discussed in the Players Experiance session - no news on if it was, or what was decided. Ignored by CSM members, members that are there to represent us, the players.

Many of you will read the linked petition and just laugh but this goes beyond the JukeBox, this is now about communication with paying customers and the lack of respect CCP have for us.

I like this game, I've played it for years, but I've never felt so angry at being treated so badly by a company that is getting my money for a leisure activity.

Sort this **** out CCP.

You got it all wrong. The CSM is not here to represent the bulk of the player base. The CSM is here to push their own agenda that furthers their, and their alliance's wants/needs.

That is the main problem with it. You have a group of null-bears dictating the direction of the game.

I have. Mainly to turn off the music when for various reasons I needed sound to be on and hadn't turned the music volume down. It was a horrible mess, though, and dumping it for an environmental music system and letting people use their own (actually functional) music players for more controlled music choices was nothing but sound.

I actually like what they did with music and sound. I'm with the winamp post. Theres plenty of mp3 players out there. How much do you need in your ears though, teamspeaks blaring, multiple chat windows scrolling. I have sensory overload already enough that I turn off camera shake :)

They may have gotten the trillions they made from exploiting the system removed, but what you forget to mention is they were given an un-told amount of PLEX by CCP for "pointing out the exploit".

This is, you know, after they did a work around for the hot fix CCP threw out, caused many hours of CCP's time to be wasted dealing with the **** storm, breaking FW for quite some time, etc.

If it were people associated with any other alliance/corp those people would have been immediately banned without question.

Pro-tip, the ISK was taken away, and the Exploit was fixed.

They walked away because they reported it themself.

There's a slight bug caused by the removal of the jukebox.
If you start the game with sound disabled (eg I'm supposed to be working), then enable it, you'll get no music.
And no way to start the music, other than quitting and restarting.

Besides, what was the brilliantly insightful idea that caused it to be removed?

Actually, that's what I did, I've had music turned off for months. Turned it on after logging in and it worked fine. Maybe you've got a problem with your sound card? I dunno.... but a bug like that would probably be more wide spread by now.

Same problem happens here.

This needs clearing up - the JukeBox thread wasnt intended to be about 'Baawwww my JukeBox is missing bawww' but more about how the new music system has been implemented in a way that isn't fit for purpose.

I like this game, otherwise I wouldnt keep playing it. I just think that CCP are not learning from their mistakes when they implement what could be a great system (and I have been saying that, a lot) but its full of bugs.

As it says in the JukeBox first post, the GUI is just a way of bypassing all the bugs and allowing players to listen to what they want to until the new system works properly.

I think you misunderstood me....

I'm not having a problem when I turn music on after logging on if it's been turned off.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Do you have any?

Aside from searching through countless posts by CCP Sreegs during the whole debacle (which I won't be doing) here is an exert from the dev blog written about the asshattery:

" Because the players made efforts to inform us about the issue their accounts will remain in good standing. We have temporarily seized all LP points and store items from them. Once we're done determining how much each person has benefitted we will remove the LP gained value in LP and items and return the ISK invested in the purchase of items to them. This essentially will set each of them back to the original point at which they began this activity. The person who reported the issue will receive the usual PLEX for Snitches reward."

full article can can be found here

It should also be noted that reports of the exploit were not made until AFTER the dumbass leaked all the information about it on twatter or facebook.

Actually there are numerous cases of things deemed "exploits" by CCP resulting in perma-bans.

One I can pull from the top of my head was the POS moongoo reactor exploit which resulted in numerous bans.

So maybe do a little research before speaking up.

Oh I get it - you think the Goons are getting special treatment.

I bet you're just jealous you didn't think of the exploit first. That, or you were in one of the Minmatar camps that thought they were winning something when it was Goonswarm that was doing all the work in order to demonstrate the exploit. Tell me.... did you read the final paragraph of that article, or are you just too focused on finding something to link CCP to Goons? Because this is circumstantial evidence of favouritism at best.
