nothing beats the wife aggro where she forces you to help putting up xmass decorations, my whole eve morning got ruined by that.....

I dont want to say gaming was the REASON for my divorce, because IT wasnt. But it certainly didnt help. She couldnt watch TV without me being there with her. She couldnt even do her work out tapes without me watching...

It wasnt that she was demanding me be her lapdog. It was that she HATED gaming as a whole. She found it to be a HUGE waste of time (but watching TV isnt... I never brought that up... ok maybe I did). Her Ex was a MADDEN FREAK, and ignored her more than any gamer should, or so Im told.

It was so bad, that If I was on a Day off, and she had to work, She would call to ask what I was doing. If I said gaming, She would litteraly yell at me and insult me for doing it. I wish I was exagerating. I wish.

SO Seeing that there were maybe a few more issues to the relationship, on both sides, I moved out and we divorced.

That was 7 years ago.


Im remarried now, and she isnt a gamer, but has no problem with me doing my own thing. Just as long as when she isnt working, I go to bed at a some what decent hour. ( She works nights) and as long as Im not playing WOW.

So many people in here with wife aggro..
Well my story is a bit unusual since it was actually bf aggro Big smile
A long long time ago he asked if he could get an online game (EVE) for his bday,warning me that he had fought a lot with his x because of his play time. The relationship still being new ofc i wanted to be better then that pesky x gf of his so i said yes and said he could play as much as he wanted (boy did i regret that one).
Well some weeks went by and eventually i got convinsed to try this game for my self (my first online game) and i ended up really enjoying it. And thats when the problems started.
Suddenly i was the one who played to much,that i dident pay enough attention to him,dident bother to go out getting drunk or spending the whole weekend watching documentaries or movies.

After 5 years he had enough i guess and even tho if i know EVE dosent have "all" the blame i know its part of the reason why we ended up splitting up Smile

But the story ends well tho,after being in a relationship for so long a few months later i decided to go on vacation to america and actually meet some of the people who i had been playing with for the past few years. Was sort of a.."hey you lost your home and your bf on the same day,time to rebuild you life" kind of thing so a vacation was my own way of getting away from the stress for a bit before life went back to normal.
Next thing i know im married to a gamer and couldent be happier (and oddly enough now im the one who has started to request movie nights Lol )

You poor saps. I got 13 working Gaming rigs 5 of them in our living room. She plays right along side of me on her own high end rig. She doesn't play EVE but she's happy and I do what ever I want....

I play eve because my wife stopped competing for my attention after being married.

Suits me fine.

My wife tried the aggro thing. She said it's either "me or Eve."

I think it's obvious that Eve nags a lot less lately than she does. :D

as far as the topic goes, i didn't add anything before now because i neither have SO aggro issues and i do my best not to be the cause of any. pretty much any story i could have told would have been boring in comparison to many of them here Blink
