So far, I can honestly say I hate the new Crimwatch thing... Maybe because it feels like its turned the game moron-friendly, or maybe because I just dont understand it yet.

Anyway, there are a few things I've been trying to get answered, and no one seems to know for sure how anything works. So I figured I would just ask here P

1.) Crimewatch suspect flagging: From what I understood, they did this to reduce the "confusion" as to who could shoot who. So does this mean they've removed individual flagging? Someone told me that if two people have agression on each other, and I rep one of them, I become suspect and am killable by everyone in system. Is this true?

2.) If I rep someone who is at war with a corp or alliance, do I become suspect or do I just get a flag from the people he's at war with?

3.) If I do actually only get flagged by the person / people that is aggressed to the person I repped, then what is the point of Crimewatch? Is there something major I'm missing?

I know if I rep someone, I'll be unable to dock... but that's about the extent of my knowledge after the changes

1 - Yes
2 - Suspect
3 - Crimewatch 2.0 is a lot better.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

I love how you first state that it made the game moron friendly.. Then proceed to say that you don't get it.

Self deprecating much?

Not understanding something, and then going to find information on it isn't being a moron.

Being a moron would be not understanding it, and just going off and losing ships or something because of it P

But I would like to know, why is it better?

Because now you can't rep people without getting shot.

This is wrong. You do NOT get flagged to the the person(s) you are repping war targets unless the person you are repping has a suspect, weapons or criminal flag. Which is complete horseshit. As soon as you rep someone that is at war with someone else you should automatically be flagged as a WT to the opposition force. That is the way it used to work and they changed it in retribution. CCP really needs to fix this oversight.

You inherit all the repaired boats flags. So if the repaired entity is killing your corp mates, there's nothing stopping you shooting them.

I welcome ALL changes in retribution and think they've made some epic changes.

Bounties work.
Rem reps can be shot.
noobs can't be individually can flipped.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Maybe you didn't understand what I was saying. In the old system if you RR a person that was at war, you became a legal target for any war targets. In the new system if a person is at war with someone and you RR them you do not become a legal target until that WT that you are RR becomes an aggressor. Hense the system is flawed because there is no WT flag. What this leads too is WTs playing station games with a couple of guardians and the only way to kill the guardians is to suicide them or wait until the WT agresses you. That is boring gameplay.

Unitl the WT aggresses you they are not a threat. I'm missing how this matters.

Because it allowed you to eliminate the threat before it became one. Now even if you bump the WT off of station you can't engage his RR until he agresses you. Which in turn allows him to reapproach and dock or tank you for hours because you need a **** ton of DPS to break a guardian chain.

Stop playing station games? Use same tactics against them and sit on undock repping yourself up not engaging anything.

Besides that if he doesn't agress you, there is no worry anyway, because....well there is no battle going on. I've leraned very early in game that there is no use in actually engaging anything larger than a unengaged cruiser on the undock unles with massively overhwhelming force. They'll dock up anyway.

Have you ever seen how far a Mach can bump something off of a station? It is plenty far, the only problem is if they have a guardian chain going you need a whole bunch of alpha to kill them now, where in the past all you had to do was engage their logi and they would be sitting ducks.

The remote rep flagging transfers are horse dung.

I get a criminal flag transfered to me ffor repping -8.0+ militia mates in fights vs other FW guys. Then I have to derp about for 15 minutes versus going to hisec to buy a new ship because, as a logi pilot, I repped a dude who wasn't actively GCCing a non-valid war target (ie; being a dirty pirate).

Stupid.

So you become a criminal for aiding a criminal. Totally stupid man.

No, you are stupid for not understanding new mechanics. There is nothing wrong here.
