Camera focus ..CCP please sort it out

Fighting when the camera focus changes by a rather movie type pan to whatever you selected is fookin crazy, i'm dizzy n lost two ship, wtf is going on ?

Push 'C', problem solved.

How are you losing ships because of the camera? Everything happens on the menus and HUD. The pretty stuff in space is just a graphical representation.

He's probably trying to drive his ships with a joystick, pretending it's a TIE fighter.


I wonder if CCP will ever take the DUST integration to the next level and create a new game allowing players to fly fighters in combat straight out of the hangars of player-flown carriers and supercarriers. It would HAVE to be a PC game, though, cuz you just don't do flight combat simulators for console (Over-G fighters, for example, on Xbox Ugh)

Sorry if I hit a nerve..

Your whole, the hud n graphical representation speech dosn't help a frig pilot fighting 4v1 and trying to assess his situation. only to have the camera do some 80's nightrider camera pan.

I wasn't being a smartarse, I was curious as to how the camera playing up actually affects the piloting. I asked a legitimate question, and you gave me hostility. You could have just explained it, seeing as how I'm still learning EVE. But instead of checking my employment history, you checked my killboard and decided to make fun of me. Real mature. 14 hours straight on EVE you say? Honestly, something tells me this applies to you.

And let me get just one more thing straight: that last fight, frig v frig, atron v daredevil, was my first purely pvp match that i was actually able to prepare for. I enjoyed the fight. I lost, but I also don't care, because I had fun. And I learned many new things about PVP. The aim of that fight was to do just that: learn. It wasn't to win. If I was trying to win, do you really think I would have taken an atron up against a daredevil? I wanted to see what my enemy had, and did. I was learning, through experience.

Alternatively, if pushing 'C' doesn't work, the little carrot in the "selected items" box's top left corner has a drop down menu with the option to manually select and unselect the tracking camera, and an option to place where on the screen you want the tracking camera to center.

Exactly - You could pretty much play eve with no in-space graphics using the hud alone.
Much like a submarine.

He didn't loose ships because of the camera, he lost them out of frustration.

Actually been celebrating for a good 3 months now.

Great to meet all the corp buddies on our trip to Amsterdam last month, we had a blast. Looking forward to at last making a fanfest meet.
