Add the ability to hide NPC corps from employment history

I don't know if it was a newbie mistake on my part back in the day, but I used to think that I had to drop my corp before I could join a new one and it has cluttered my employment history. I'm not the only one.

tl;dr Recruiters don't care when or how long you've been in an NPC corp, unless it is a faction militia. The ability to hide this (because I don't support removing it completely) would cause far less eyestrain during background checks.

I agree. A box we can check to hide NPC corps. Much better aesthetically. I started out in SWA and never made it back. I would have prefered going back to where I started each time I left a corp.

Recruiters do care as short stints in npc corps can be a sign that you did quit your corp unexpectedly (kicked, ragequit, ...).

But they could still see the gaps in your corp history if they pay a little attention, so +1

95%, generously stated, of all corps suck and aren't worth 1 crumb of effort in joining let alone the free intel they recieve. If someone quit a corp, its almost always because they joined one of those 9.5 of 10. The NPC corp spam is horrid.

Why not. Everyone will know the gaps is a NPC corp anyway, serves same purpose but clutters less.

Just make sure that both parties can tick/untick it, so when you chose it to display you see it on yourself and everyone. If you untick it, you don't see it on either. A little failsafe so people can't just turn off their employment history and not let other people glance at it.

Just like employers will want to know how long you're out of work in real life, the corporations in Eve want to know how long you were out of a player corporation and why you weren't in one for so long. Employers in real life are terrified of hiring people who have been unemployed for a long time.

Which you can see by watching the gap, so, you have exactly the same information available.

I support this as a filter / checkbox for the person browsing your history, not for yourself. I.E. if the recruiter is bothered by all the NPC corps in your history, he can click a checkbox and hide the NPC corps from his view. But you can't prevent anyone from seeing the full list.

erase them all :) you get a list like mine and nobody wants u :)

at least remove all the none active corps and alliance's

that would leave me with 2 or 3 in the list :)

No.

Closed and inactive corps are still important information.

I would be embarassed to be in an NPC corp too. We should be able to hide all the stuff were embarassed about. Those lossmails...can I delete them for PLEX while were at it?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Woah npc corp haters (Except those that weren't, respect!)! I like my npc corp. We talk and cuddle, even roast marshmallows on the fire. Go on long walks through space and such; dreadfully long. Don't remove them completely from everybody... if anything make a sort of compromise and give the player the option whether or not to hide/remove them. Still, I'd rather see the corps the players have been in, rather than not.

But you're right, if for some reason this did happened, just have to pay more attention to dates. But tbh I don't see this happening because npc corp is still a corp.

+1 because I too used to think you had to leave a corp to join another

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

As long as you still show the 37 times you left/joined the same corp avoiding PVP instead of lumping them all together then I'm okay with hiding NPC corps as an option.
