Hi guys

Maybe this is already some sort established knowledge. If so, yes you can flame me, but please be gentle :-P

Anyway, I've consistently found that the loot in low end WH mag sites (C1/C2) is so poor that the only reason to actually run a mag site is for the sleeper wrecks.
The estimated value of the loot from the analyzed containers is rarely more than 1M isk. Am I doin' it wrong?

Nothing you are doing is causing it. If you want better parts from the cans, go to a higher class. In C3s you get the 'Malfunctioning' parts aswell as a better chance. Then when you get to C5(?) you get wrecked parts, which offer a higher reward...

Bit of a hint, are you operating out of a WH POS? if so, have a word round your corp-mates, and see if any of them have Reverse Engineering skills. If they do, haul in an experimental lab, get hold of some datacores and Reverse Engineer them. IF they are successful, well.. you get 3 run T3(Subsystem) BPCs, if not, you've only lost a mil. Thats how i do my RE, take the worthless stuff, and give it a go. If the guys want to put the Malfunctioning stuff in the pool, they can. Doing this, when i can make them, i make them at a profit, but sell them discounted to the corp...This also gives you a use for the random sleeper salvage you pick up..

HINT: The datacores from the RADAR sites are half of the Reverse Engineering process too..:D

1-2: wrecked
3-4: malfunctioning
5-6: intact

intact weapon, defensive and hull pieces can get you 20-60m a piece iirc.

Thought the intact weapon parts got you more than that? It has been a while though.

If im honest, the value in these parts isnt in selling them. You could make many times over the cost of the part if you get a 20-run BPC from it... even 10mil per Sub on that, isnt bad.. 200mil, rather than 60. This is, assuming you have the skills to make them..

just checked. intact weapon array is 70 million. so a bit more

and you probebly can make more making subs from it. unless you get a bpc from a useless subsystem which instantly makes it worthless. and personally.....cant be bothered, too much work

Interesting discussion although a bit moot for me. In low ends we only get wrecked parts :)

This is true. I would like to move to a C3-C4 but i lack the skills, so no rushes. Where i live i can run the sites alone so it is all ok with the Sleeper loot and salvage, but the Mag and Radar cans... not very profitable for me at the moment. I'm just saving the wrecked parts and maybe one day i will use them.

if you want the loot, but are worried about solo-running. why not get a c2 > c3 or 4 static. That way, you have your home site that you're familiar with, but the static for constant farming. Including Mags and Radars when they spawn in the static. Statistically speaking, you're more likely to get these sites from you statics more often you are from the home system. If you live in a C3, you're killing your ISK making a little bit, thanks to the K-Space static you have to have. you rely on incoming holes, which most of the time, will have guys who want to shoot you.

Hmm recently i went into a c2 with a couple of friends.

Yesterday we had a mag site and my buddy was dissapointed. He said normally they get about 70 misk out of it. This one was barely 15 misk.

Could it be, that they have changed?

Also I had my first radar site. According to another budy I should have found melted ribbons there, but there where 0.

Melted nanos are completely random mate. Which would account for the terrible loot you had...

That is a very good idea, the problem is that my corp is not very active at the moment and i don't have the skills to run a pos by myself. I hope the things change, they are a good group, and i wish to move to a deeper system with them.

And about pvp opportunities, i'm ok with that, but the problem again is that no one gets inside to fight, run a site or whatever. Never. In one month i only had one engage. I was running a combat site and two guys attacked me, but i killed one and managed to escape from the other (special thanks to the sleepers here, they are my friends). That was an awesome moment, but that is all for now.

I love w-space, and for me there is no other way to play EvE, but i need to be patient and calculate my next steps carefully. I'm making good iskies with the loot and salvage in my home, so i guess i can wait a few months before moving to another system.

Hmm... PvP can be a bit slow at times, but great another. We got about 1 bil ISK worth of kills in 10 minutes in a 4 vs 7 fight the other day.(We were the 4 btw)... 7 kills, 1 loss.. I then got a scorp and domi kill the next day with a corpie. Was good to have some PROPER PvP really. Before this week, we havent had very much really. The odd Gank here and there, but nothing substantial really. Had some random guy threaten to war-dec my corp if we didnt pay his corp 250mil... 1/4 size corp.. All talk mind you, but i was kinda looking forward to be able to openly shoot someone in highsec.. :D
