Confidence is high

Really warming to this new movie. Looks less like a cash-in and more like a competent movie each time I hear and see something new.

And...is that brainiac I see?

Enjoy,

Yes on both. Well........I'll remain on the sidelines for the Shyamalan 'Oblivion' till I hear if "It's a TRAP!" or not.

edit: OOPS ! I made big boo-boo. I'm already confusing the otherwise brilliant looking "Oblivion" with Shyamalan's "Another Earth". Oops

Yes on "Oblivion" (by director of Tron:Legacy), and Skepticism aimed at "Another Earth". Their concepts in their respective trailers are somewhat similar.

Unless superman throws a big cellophane S at someone and wraps them up for 8 seconds for absolutely no reason, then I have little reason to watch this.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Big smile I remember that one.

So who's the bad guys in this movie? If it's Luthor or other humans again, this movie is dead to me.

"Man of Steel" cast:

Henry Cavill... Clark Kent / Superman

Amy Adams... Lois Lane

Russell Crowe... Jor-El

Michael Shannon... General Zod

Diane Lane... Martha Kent

Kevin Costner... Jonathan Kent

Apparently they can't think of a new story indeed.

Costner's very presence worries me.

I'm waiting on a general consensus from the reviews before seeing definitely. I've been burned by this franchise too many times since watching Christopher Reeve in 1978.

General Zod! Hooray! Cellophane S FTW!

Well, I most certainly am interested now, but I'm still a wee bit skeptical. I feel Superman is, oddly enough, one of the easiest comic book characters to mess up in a movie. In fact, a lot of the DC characters are.

edit: Also, if WB and DC want to make this Justice League thing a reality then the new Batman has to be in this movie in some capacity. Most likely in an after the credits sequence. Marvel isn't losing any steam and people are still in love with the Dark Knight trilogy. If this movie is good, then people will talk and that's that. If the movie is good and Batman makes an appearance, people won't shut up about it until the next DC movie which, in my opinion, they desperately need if they don't want Marvel to wipe the floor with them at every single turn.

I did notice the chest fur peaking out of the blue shirt. THAT's a first. Lol

Ain't that the truth.

Thank God they killed Tim Burton's "Superman Lives" with Nicholas Cage starring (shudders). Check out this ridiculous test footage of the costume re-think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvhMejIcD9o
