Diclaimer. my apologies if this is the 20th thread just like this

I was wondering if the amount of new isk being generated from missions/ratting/etc/etc has decreased since the heavy missile/drone nerf/ full rrom aggro.

I think that one of the geekier members of CCP keeps records of these things.

Secondly has the isk coming into the game and leaving the game finally started to match up to bring inflation under control

Spikes at patch launches are not indicative of the average and will likely take months for the true effect to show. As many resub for major expansions So higher than average populations of players running around trying new features or moving away from their normal habits can actually increase isk flow despite a nerf to effectiveness to mission or rat farming.

No new sinks have been made. Bounties and killrights are a transfer of wealth, its only tied up temporarily. Only time its actually a sink is if a high bounty leaves the game for months, then only part of the bounty is given back.

Expect a very long rundown this coming fan fest about the 2012 state of the economy.

Drones weren't nerfed. In fact, they were buffed a bit with the changes in the drone upgrade modules. Only thing that changed was the way NPCs interact with your drones now. So, I really don't think there would be much of a change in the isk income from missions because of that. The full room aggro was fixed in today's patch, so any decrease from that will be made up. And as for the heavy missiles, I doubt that change would affect the way isk is generated from PVE very much.

And for your other question, I have no idea since I am not an economist. Blink

Drones are also much more useful for PvP in low-sec now that they don't get instapopped by gate guns. In fact, this destroyed a few ways of using cheap T1 drones as chaff.

Not that I'm complaining. More fights in a wider variety of ways is good for my EVE experience :D

For every second added in producing damage because of recalling and relaunching is a loss in efficiency, they are not doing the damage potential they once had in pve despite tweaked mods. Same for heavy missile ranges, more travel, longer engagements for the many drakes and tengus used to mission run. Time is money and an overall a loss in effectiveness in isk grind.
It's not by much and will not likely make much of a difference in a graph, but it's there.

I agree

people are running less missions or they are taking longer. Many people do not feel like they can take in there prized battleship into a mission with full aggro when there drones will be eaten alive :)

I'm not having these issues. I use a drone boat for missions, and the missions actually seem to be going faster now since they patched the full room aggro today. So in my case, the efficiency has actually increased.

Sentry setup? These seems to be doing well still. Yet initial dock juggling per new npc waves to make them forget about the drones wont last forever as I hear they wont properly get cycled for a re-target.
