In the process of doing the mission Dread Pirate Scarlet, I am in the second pocket and have found myself unable to do anything as I am perma jammed. By perma jammed I mean the 4 battleships have just spent their time rotating their jamming to the point I have spent the better part of 10 minutes jammed now.

I am running a Tengu, standard l4 fit

I didn't notice this perma jamming before todays downtime.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yarrh it happeth to thine ship afore Retribution.

I just warped out and warped back in (got a bonus spawn in the previous room and a faction drop in the belt I warped to yey my lucky day!) , and kept as much range as possible shooting the jamming ships first.

*just in case nothing is wrong...*

have you considered ECCM? T3's are a little extra sensitive when it comes to ECM, aren't they?

I can go from 29 to 104 with 2 ECCM mids, and in a gang with projected eccm it can get higher the more ships you have

I don't know. just in the case it's an effect against tengus. there could be a permajam bug but I'm not taking tengus to test it with (because i hate them, and the only thing worse than having them is losing them)

I'll do the FOF thing now... always carry them.. in any missile mission ship that can use them.

Thanks all for the suggestions, the FOF wasn't something I had actually considered, but will be carrying a complement of them with me at all times now.

Thanks all for the advice!

try the new sensor compensation skills also. it hardens you against ECM. 4% per level.

The only thing is, its all chanced based with NPC's IIRC, it ignores your sensor strength and will have, for example, a 50% chance of hitting a jam every cycle regardless?

If it chance based, and sensor strength or skills don't have any effect, would that not also mean that ECCM modules don't work either?

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Not sure about how it is after Retribution, but I have the sensor strenght subsystem on my Tengu and didn't get jammed very often before Retribution.
Might need to check now but if it is and was chance based regardless of sensor strength I have been very lucky so far. My ships has a sensopr strength of 32 by the way.

It has been changed from being a fix % chance (unaffected by sensor strength), into how player ECM works (affected by sensor strength) some ages ago as far as I know.
So ECCM and sensor strength subsys to your hearth's delight!

(I believe ECM strength of NPCs is somewhere up to 4 normally.)

"We want PvE activities to require active participation and mirror PvP more closely." Stacking penalty for NPC EWAR then? Lock range under 9km from over 100 in a BS is not fun. Nor is two NPC web drones making me crawl 10m/s. PvP SW-900 x5: 75m/s.

The definition of "chance based" seems to differ from person to person.

Confirming they changed it from fixed chance to sensor strength chance like a year ago or more.

4% isn't much, but for any mission runner it's definitely worth training to 4.

I saw a thorough test analysis of rat ECM vs Sensor Strength, posted on these forums, and that was over a year ago. The conclusion was that increasing your Sensor Strength means you get ECM jammed less often.
