This will simply favor blobs, putting small alliances at an even bigger disadvantage defense wise. Im against this for that reason.

OGB are the only thing actually enabling us to fight the small gangs you see around now. Unless u want to give us some sort of skills that increase the tank to that of having an offgrid booster, buti dont work when u got ongrid one......

For so many l337 peeveepee'ers around here, an awful lot seem to want combat without the risk of losing a ship. Curious...

learn to scan down ships in space? i got the secondary scan skills to like... lvl 2 and i have scanned down much stuff with a meta combat probe launcher fitted to a t1 frigate, heck even a t1 battlecruiser.

To counter boosters hiding inside a bubble. Make the bubble act like a station dock up when activated, all ships inside it are unable to operate modules or the bubble itself just blocks everything from passing in or out

Seriously ^.

Guy trains an OGB. How to do counter? Train to probe.

Derps can't think of a solution to anything that they can't see and shoot infront of them.

But CCP made their decision. So I want an SP refund if they ever make this change.

nope think again.

totally fine with ogb removal, not fine with my alt becoming worthless after months of training skills for OGB.

So finish the training you need to be an *on* grid booster. It isn't that much more, and maybe you can even do some reps or shoot something while you're there.

People weren't refunded SP after nano changes, removal of super nos, supercap nerf, ect. Nerfs happen, deal with it. You can't train for a mechanic that is so obviously broken and then act surprised when it's changed.

Thats different. Removing the ability to off grid boost is removing the value of training an offgrid boosting ship like a tengu or a loki.

Or training the command module. There is no viable use of that module other than an OGB.

You mean all this time running 2 man L4 missions grinds with a tengu pilot boosting me has been wrong?

And I took the time to look up the new descriptions, and referenced old (yay wiki and google) and nowhere did it mention obg, or even off grid boosting. It did mention ON though on those external sites.

In short, I don't see where your complaint is coming from, not via ingame descriptions, or google. I did see the patch notes and read incursion fleet channels that require boosters to be in fleet.

Is that what you mean? You can't keep your ship hidden and easymoding your pvp, therefore you're saying pvp is worthless because you are on an even playing field?

At any rate, sorry to hear your tengu is worthless. That's a shame. Contract it to me if you like, I'll send the processed materials back to you for free if you prefer.

This isn't the same situation as a nerf. The OGB removal will literally make my alt worthless.

Good luck with that. Start your alt on the path to command ships now, is my advice.

Why is off-grid boosting the only thing enabling small gang fights?

dont try to reason with him... he has the typical child like mentality that cant understand that if he loses his +32% shield resists and his target does too, the playing field is leveled again.

We do 60j roams in lowsec to null and float all over the place with no booster. Works well enough.

Welcome to Eve, try training Carriers to 5 Fighters to 5, FB to 5, get a nice shiny Nyx, then have CCP make it worthless due to short sighted planning with moon goo isk faucets.

Until you have that many wasted SP, you have no reason to complain....

I am not, nor will I ever be...Nicky Yo.... The question you should ask is.....When will they release the NICKY!

Well guess it sucks to be the newbies that will no longer get orca buffs from me.

Fits right in line with the fact that newbies are no longer able to tag along when I'm doing level four missions (constant ship replacement isn't worth it).

... because a Tengu or a Loki can't survive on grid while boosting.... Big smile

Do you actually play the game? Or just pretend to?

Yeah, like anybody is going to fly a ship that costs atleast 500mil on grid with about 2k ehp, loss of SP on death, and no prop mod ON grid.

rofl you guys.

And rorq pilots?

I'm pretty sure only a total of one will fly that on grid and then learn a hard lesson in why its a completely bad idea.

LOL.

I never said you would be able to run those ships fitted exactly as you do now. You'll actually have to consider survival and evasion in how you fit your boosting T3, instead of purely for boosting... like every other ship in EvE. You might even find a Command ship to be more appropriate in some situations (shocking, I know).

Apparently that is "impossible" and anyone who knows otherwise doesn't actually play the game. Big smileBig smileBig smile

No skills are being nerfed by this. The only change is you might actually have to fit the ship, and perhaps grow a pair?

Why do you keep the orca off grid?

Because I don't want them mining under my fleet? I give buffs as a reward for miners leaving a field to me or to newbies that happen to be in system.

What am I supposed to tell them to do when they arrive on grid and I'm dealing with ANOTHER full room pull because of the dumb AI and 6 or 12 frigates decide to nuke the newbie? The only real solution is to have them sit of to the side for most of the battle in which case I'd be better off just giving them money. Since frankly it's not worth my time to try to swat the frigates first so a newbie can participate..

As many people who actually play this game have pointed out already. Off grid boosters helps smaller gangs/alliances fight the blobs, and also who says the t3s arent at risk? If you think that you're clearly dumb because you don't know what a Probe launcher does, they aren't just for scanning plexes down you know kids.
