How long have you played eve for??

I just found an old thread where people where talking about how long they had played eve. They had calculated this from the logserver (im at work so can't check if you can even still do this)

The old topic had people like Chribba posting who had over 503 days worth of log on time equating to 5hours 42minutes logged in per day for him.

So pilots how long have you spent logged into EVE?

CCP can you tell us (anomalously if need be) the longest logged in play time for a single character? a rough logged in time for the devs would be good too (dev account or personal, again no names needed)

How to guide

1)open logserver.exe, its in the CCP folder where your regular exe is
2)file->create new workspace
3)run eve
4)log into your main character
5)tab out to logserver
6)view->find
7)search for logonMinutes
8)it'll highlight the line, and that text will display in the box at the bottom of the window

I believe evemon tracks it at 3 days, but mine is

3\x07balance\x06\x06,\x13\naurBalance\x06\x06,\x13\x0cworldSpaceID\x06\x03,\x11\x9b\x06\x03,\x11\x96\x06\x03,\x13\x10locationSecurity\x06\x05,\x13\x0fconstellationID\x06\x03,\x11\x8d\x06\x03,\x13\x0fpetitionMessage\x06\x0b,\x13\x0clogonMinutes\x06\-

That's all that I could search for with logonminutes on it.

Even easier way to do this:

1) Go to https://api.eveonline.com
2) Create a new account API key with account status access enabled
3) Go to https://api.eveonline.com/account/AccountStatus.xml.aspx?keyid=KEYIDHERE&vcode=VCODEHERE replacing KEYIDHERE and VCODEHERE with the appropriate API key values, of course.

I get 162235 logon minutes since June 15, 2011, or 112d, 15h, 55m.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

If I put as much time in school (even just online courses) as I did into EVE, i'd be DOCTOR Jenn aSide by now :) .

But screw that, SOMEONE has to remove the Scourge of Guristas (or Serps or Angels) from EVE over and over and over again (they just keep respawning, i guess I just need to kill them more), so who has time for real life anymore?

Besides, real men survive on General Discussion Shiptoasting and Hot Pockets, which are delicious.

Even easier.

1) Open EVEmon
2) Go to Tools menu > API Tester
3) Chose "API Method" = "AccountStatus" and chose the character you want to check

Also, remember that the online-time is account wide, so if you check two characters on the same account you'd get the same time online.

Last time I bothered to check I had spent a year of the last 4 logged into the game.

And I took 9 months off.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.
