Things happened at a glacial pace (some might say, even heading in the wrong direction) until the players decided to create a heat wave and asplode the Jita monument Blink Thankfully, CCP sat up and took notice, resulting in delivery of Crucible, Inferno and Retribution.Big smile

If you've been in Eve that long, surely you'll know about...

I'm waiting with baited breath for the day a dustbunny team kills a titan or mothership that's in orbit.

I'm gonna be out bathing in the tears of rage that will fall from on high.

and for the cries of how unfair it is that the mealy-mouthed infantry-punks with 50,000 ISK in gear shot down their billion isk toys.

It will happen.

Dustbunnies will get killmails.

People in GD will rage about how they thought they got to be the uncaring finger of god delivering wrath from on high.

I want to be there, so I can say I was there.

It'll make videogame history too, you wait and see. The guys on that DUST map will feel truly epic.

Everyone knows that what you do with supercaps is lock them, orbit at optimal, and pound the sh** out of them while your interceptors hold them down for you.

thats what you do with supercaps.

Me? I blame it on their decision to use Python to code the game. Had they done it like the big boys and uses a real programming language, they'd be further along now. But that's just me.

Back when I was 23 years old, I played a game called Eve Online. It had a broken bounty system and a ship tier system that while pratical on paper, resulted in all ships of the lower tiers amongst their own class being ignored and hardly utilized...

Now that I'm 32 years old (wow, I'm old now), that broken bounty system has finally been fixed and the tier system has finally received the attentioned that it needed those 9 years ago...

My only question is... why did it take so long? Why does everything take so long? These are things that have been needed for the last 9 years. Why does everything move at such a glacial pace? At this pace I'll be 41 years old before they finally figure out what to do with supercaps...

Answer is simple, Eve has been dying for 10 years, why would anybody put effort into something thats been on its deathbed? Lets give the guy in a persistant vegitative state some cosmetic surgery.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Whatever.

In that amount of time I could have gone back to school, gotten a degree in programming, a masters in programming, spent 3 years at ccp studying game programming.

I'll tell you why, they found it more important to add new features to the game then to iterate on them. See FW for example, released then ignored for a long, long time.

Glad we could help them see the light last year, though I still find the cost pretty steep.
