Kill Rights and Safety System

So here is the situation, two days ago an alliance member popped one of my wrecks in a site and got concorded XP I instantly gained kill rights on him.

Yesterday, when I was in an ice belt mining in a mackinaw, I thought it would be nice to kill him in his rifter as he was killing belt rats. So I strapped on a warp disrupt to my mackinaw to keep him from getting away, waited till he passed me, locked him, and released the drones. I realize they arent doing anything because the safety system did not recognize my right to kill him.

Of course I figured it was just an issue with specifically the connection between kill rights and the safety system not recognizing them. I did NOT expect Concord to also not recognize my right to kill him too and blow me up. Has anyone else experienced issues with this?

Did you activate the Kill Right against that player?

I wasn't aware that you need any activation of a kill right if you are the original owner of the kill right.

That's new so I need to activate my own kill rights now?

That seams a bit odd.

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

I agree, when I clicked on the pilot and he was blue with a white star indicating the alliance status was super-ceding the kill right status, furthermore, I never saw any kind of activation option which makes me wonder if you need to activate your own kill right or if its a bug or what.

You need to activate a Kill Right to turn the target a suspect.

What I would like to know is why I had kill rights on this guy and there was no crosshair in the selected item window to activate the kill right.
