Is this very common in EVE?

i dont think a human being can logon 40+ accounts at the same second,
operating those accounts and warp off when someone apporached at the same second!
Will CCP do anything against this?

I also see something like that in other sections on the forum:

Current CCP policy is (roughly) that items or programs which allow a user to distribute commands across several clients with a single button-push are allowed, so long as there is actually a user behind the buttons pushing them.

Items or programs which execute a series of commands in order with no human intervention at each step are not allowed.

If they are bots (see: scripted and no human involvement)... then no. That isn't legal and you can report it.

If they are all alt accounts of the same person and he/she is multi-boxing using the same settings, windows, configs, etc. across all accounts AND using "synchronizing scripts" to have them perform the same manual actions at the same time... then yes... it is legal.

anyway.. like the first poster said.. most likely that is someone using some tools to command multiple characters at once, and IS sitting behind the keyboard, commanding the lot of them. ( well, mining ice.. you can do that semi afk anyway.. )

Alt characters = very common in EvE.

Multiboxing = not uncommon (and totally legal if you manually input orders).

That depends how you will multibox.

I know a person who runs 16 accounts all at once from 1 monitor.

He uses ISboxer to control them all from 1 client (which is totally legit for those whiners).
