My EVE

So was just looking/thinking back on all the really ******** noob things I have done in my time playing EVE.

I wanted to see if anyone else has funny experiences/WTF moments that they brought to themselves over dumbness.


Figure I start it off with one I did.




-- Bought a Widow when it first came out and decided to just roll down to null sec without scout [hur hur] needless to say I don't have it anymore.


Not too sure what I was thinking about that moment. Needless to say it was pretty dumb. Now I know I'm not the only one in EVE that did something dumb, have the guts share your moments of dumbness

Lighting throwaway cynos in expensive clones, all the goddam time.

Forgetting that i have a second client open and leaving it to die on gates (normally in hilariously expensive boosting t3's)

Worst mistake was probobly subscribing to this game though

Dumbest thing that I've done in EVE? I've left haulers afk in belts for so long that even the frigate rats kill them and leave me in my pod.

Dumbest thing that someone else owning this character has done in EVE? Lost an Avatar-class Titan. Oops.

Back when I used to have 1 screen, alt tabbing back and forth like a boss I had the habit of using 2 characters at once, roaming different areas/doing different things.

I once left my alt on a gate in nullsec for nearly 2 hours, I only remembered about him when I heard the screeching low armor warning, turns out the gate rats started to dislike my presence :D.

I lived tho, still pretty ********.

It's either:

Losing a cynabal to two ratting battleships that didn't even have a point due to client crash.

or

After seeing a Megathron get GCC in lowsec from attacking an Arbirator I uncloaked my Loki 15km's off in the hopes of webbing him and letting the guns do the work, instead I accidentally webbed and pointed the arbitrator, causing the guns and the megathron to switch to me.

Fun times guys srsly.

Got scrammed and killed by belt rats in null while ratting up my sec status in an Oracle. I wasn't a noob either, I'd been pvping for 2 years...

Oh yeah and then Sard Caid grabbed my lossmail from the corp logs and spammed every chat channel he belonged to with it, including the Club Bear pub.

I traded using a trade window instead of the market or a contract. 700mil Jita-lag scammed later, I have 1.8mil, no real assets, and no ship to do L4s in. Well damn. :\

Took my trial account to a full account

I nearly walked into Gallente space in a freighter with (at the time about two years ago) my new tengu and faction/complex fit in cargo while having -8.0 standings with them. Then, a month later autopiloted same tengu through Gallente space...I haven't used autopilot since.

Another time, I went out looking for a place to sell a bunch of unused faction/complex gear and high value mission loot...and proceeded to jump into torrinos. Let's just say T1 Hauler, lots'a goodies, bad part of town, you get the picture.
