Hi,
I set up a pos in highsec and armed it with ECCM. Another corp declared war on us and they launched a lot of neutral no man Shuttles, from a neutral orca. The ECCM batteries are targeting those shuttles instead of the aggressors. Can i setup the batteries to stop attack the empty shuttles?
The options in the defense tab are only ofr the sentry guns.

You could try changing the pos settings , from

"attack if at war " to "attack if aggressed"

that may help

since a pos will naturaly defend itself if shot at it may ignore the shutles

also file an exploit petition, that may also help

also , if the shuttle are neutral why is your pos attacking them?

unless people are jumping into those shuttles marking them as hostile to your pos and then jumping into a combat ship to attack, which actually maybe an exploit. petition it ASAP if that is happening

set the other corp to -10

'attack if standing' < 0.0

you may have it set to <0.1

oh yeah and buy a few small auto batteries, and man them, at least for the shuttles.

Train Starbase Defense Management, take control of the guns.

A combo of this and this would be most effective.

A clicky but effective alterative/suppliment to training Starbase Defense Manager is set your POS so shoot ppl if their standing is less than -9.9, make the corp neutral, and make the agressors' personal standings against your corp -10 one by one, as they pop.

95% of the players are loving EVE, the other 5%? On the forums.

Unfortunately control towers don't care about corp-to-individual standing. They only consider corp-to-corp standing.

This is not possible in hisec.

What makes you think the ECM is targeting the shuttles? You do realize that ECM takes a while to lock a target, attempts to jam for up to 30 seconds (only one jam cycle of 7.5 seconds on Caldari towers) which is chance based and can fail, unlocks the target and randomly picks another target.

An all EWAR setup isn't a good idea, especially when you are lazy and make piles of defenses instead of spreading them out of smartbomb range. Too late, I know, but here's my POS fitting.

Without POS gunner and a turret of some sort, you are gonna be out of luck.

I didn't recall seeing them.. But it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to set up anything that would instruct a POS to violate Concord regulations.

ECCM will not save a tower - it acts as a deterrent against attack in the first place and buys time for a fleet to arrive or for enough POS gunners to get online and start focus-firing the attackers.

(Very few people will attack a large tower with 50-60+ ECM. Those that do can be considered "determined attackers" with a specific goal rather then opportunistic attackers just looking for easy kills. Determined attackers will always win unless you can bring a larger force down on them.)

oooh that's a good idea, does that really work?

I shouldn't give advice on hisec pos's I've already lost one this month! :P
