Will Dust players show as users online when logging in?

well i see you all wonder about the number!

on the other side, i am wondering...

does anyone else has an aesthetical problem
with the fact dust players appear in chat as humans
while at the same time we look like EGGS ?
(edit: and i am referring to the icons on top of chat window,
how many eve how many dust...)

Yes, DUST514 players will show up in local. Yes, they will be on Tranquility just like the rest of us.

As for your second question, there is no way of knowing. I expect a large surge when DUST514 is first launched as a bunch of FPS fans come to "kick the tyres". Many of them will not hang around because the game doesn't appeal to them for whatever reason.

I would be surprised if DUST514 didn't attract a following in the hundreds of thousands, with perhaps tens of thousands of regular payers.

Makes sense, we are POD pilots, and that little "egg" is pretty evident to an EVE player to be a pod that indicates pod pilots.

You can't say that you saw the "egg" and didn't automatically know exactly what it represented.

I hope it does, but there is no way of knowing. It just depends on whether it can pull them away from Call of Duty.

so true. still, i dont like the egg icon aesthetically, thats all i moaned about ^^
(though after the station environment upgrade we are more humanoids than
ever before in game...)
