Set parent and interest accordingly.

From there you should be able to move the camera in x,y,z like it is tethered to the parent, but focused on the interest. Zooming in and out alters the length of the tether. Although it doesn't actually zoom the camera, it moves the camera closer or further away from the interest.

the zoom the camera, do ctrl+alt+shift+rmb+lmb and drag the mouse forwards and backwards.

I think it's better the setup the 'c' camera shot before you hit the 'c' button, you get some smooth shots that way if you plan it...but I feel this event is more about raw footage than pretty pictures.

If you make the tether too short you can have issues with the horizontal and vertical, like trying to breakdance in an elevator.

As for encoding, one h.264 pass at a high bit rate should be enough...like 10-15mb/s...maybe even 8, but it really depends on the resolution you game at.

If this is going into the met, it needs to be pristine quality!

Who cares for the resolution if the content is plain ass boring.

5 seconds of pew pew after 5 minutes of waiting, the first 5 minutes are watching him docked in a catalyst, followed by some fleet warps.
The most entertaining thing at this was that you were unable to follow simple commands like "Turn your overheat and sensor boosters on". Also hoped that you forgot to turn off safety.

after the SINGLE GANK in this video the "watching you docked" thing continues.

The OP was testing footage capture in RAW format as suggested by CCP for yesterdays capturing by the EVE Community.

No need for the hate when someone is willing to contribute.

yeah they told me to capture eve in the format we play it in for about 10 minutes. So I found something that takes about 10 minutes. Gank, return, pull conchord. Explode. I think I got some nice camera shots with the new camera tools if I do say so myself.

HEre's the thing, eve in real time is boring. That's um, just how it is. My long boring video? was shorter than a single allaince match. Soooo anywyas, I hope CCP pick my footage.
