Such is the weight of their egos that they'd they rather have no game at all than bear the agonizing horror of a game where others are allowed to play how they want to.

So yes, the bounty system is indeed working as intended. The problem is that what was intended wasn't made obvious until it was too late. It was marketed as a way for those without good PvP skills to deal with all the bullies of EvE, but in reality it turned out to be nothing more than another tool for the bullies.

I just dont know why the bounties on the Null sec corps are not higher.

It would make a good income stream for Null sec pilots as well as allowing people like Lady Katherine Devonshire to vent.

We get bounties on us daily... In true Reddit style however, we just shoot each other. Sure, we lose money, but atleast our enemies don't get it :p

I think the turnover on nullsec bounties is much higher. Our alliance has already paid out close to 200M in bounties. Fight a lot, you die a lot. But you get lots of kills too :)

No kidding. We had like 3.5b and were number 3 on the list, the next morning we had 2.5b and were like number 8.

Seems really silly to wonder why a NULL sec corp doesn't have the highest bounties. Why would a bunch of people who actually do pvp stay at the top of the list, above a carebear corp that lives in high sec.

Our bounties should go down every day if more money isn't invested, a high sec corp not so much.

I'd estimate at least 250m of that is probably due to blue on blue violence.

Bounties only pay out 20% of the value of the ship killed. If you have a 2 million ISK bounty, you must lose 10 million ISK worth of ships for it to eventually drain away.

Complaining? I think it's fantastic and should help drive more conflict and exploding. Encourage a new kind of misery. And I'd bet a nice sized payout on an awoxed jf would make the weaker willed or greedy consider pulling the trigger on a corpmate.

And more dead freighters is always good.

True, but something tells me that when one corp puts a bounty on another corp that they don't intend for that corp to get paid from it.

Even if you lose more than is put on the corp, It's kind of counter to the idea of having a bounty on that corp when the people in the corp that the bounty is placed on can collect it.

I don't think the idea is for corp bounties to get people in the same corp shooting each other, but people not in that corp shooting them.

I don't think this is something CCP is going to allow to stay in; even if it does make for fun.

The thing about bounties is that by placing one you're all but stating you don't care who takes it, because you yourself cannot or will not make the kill.

I'm not sure the timid's specific wishes factor in to this in any way. They wanted a ship kill. They got a ship kill.

It's not like individual payouts are very high anyway.

I could probably go along with that due to the corp tournament angle, which is a shame as encouraging awoxing is also a worthy goal for a bounty.
