Perfect ME is 40 for fuel blocks:

What you need for them:

Strontium isn't part of a fuel block. That's a seperate bay for it.

You will need 10 blocks per hour for a small, 20 for a medium, 40 for a large. If it's in high sec, you'll also need charters from the faction who own the space (1 per hour). And a suitable corp level standing (10 times the sec level. so 5 for a 0.5 )

Woo! CSM XI!

All of those mate. Bit of a hint though. If you have the planets to make it all, bar the ice products, then make it all.

If you're short the planets to make robotics and uranium, you can haul in 1 of the ingredients for them, and use excess amounts of the other to make it...
Example: Robotics takes mechanical parts and consumer electronics. We make Mechs anyway, so have some spare. Buy in the Consumer Elecs at 1/3 of the price of the Robotics(for the right volume to make them), and thats 30mil, rather than 100mil for that. Bingo!
I save about 150mil doing this a month on fuel..:D

Im assuming you're thinking about making the fuel? or are you just thinking about buying it?

With my maths, for ONE large tower, you might save 100mil on it, which isnt bad... On the setup i have, 1.3bil, goes to 800mil. EPIC! However, you do have to do 2 lots of hauling... so think about whether its worth it for your setup...:D

To add to Steves posts.

You need 1 charter per hour in highsec. Charters are sold in batches of 100 charters for 500LP. So this comes to 8,760 charters per year at a cost of 43,800LP. The charters need to match the region of space you will be anchoring (amarr for amarr, caldari for caldari space, etc).

Keep in mind the faction standing needed is the derived standing (before skills) for all characters in the corp. If a character has no standings (no listing at all, so no positive, negative, or even displayed) then their standings will not affect the required faction standings.

You also only need the faction standings to anchor the tower. Once it is anchored you're standings can decrease and is not an issue (unless you need to reanchor).

fuel blocks are a profitable venture to build for market... if you can get your hands on the materials

A great tool that will help you manage your POS and the fuel you will need.

A good app!

I do wish they'd update it more, as evehq dropped support for its own pos planner.

Otherwise there is http://eve.1019.net/pos/

the only fuel needed is fuel blocks and stront. Everything needed to fuel the POS is a required ingredient in the fuel blocks. Only stront is needed to reinforce the tower, but only if war deced.

As already said
towers now take faction specific fuel blocks, they used to take each fuel product separately. Not any more. Only blocks now.
small tower needs 10 blocks per hour
medium tower needs 20 blocks per hour
Large tower needs 40 blocks per hour
All towers in high sec need 1 charter per hour for the faction owning the space

There are 720 hours in a month(30 days) So 7200 blocks and 720 charters per month to fuel a small tower.

A single run of a fuel block BPO produces 40 blocks not 1.

Fuel blocks are currently selling for about 12,000isk.

Since the change to fuel blocks towers no longer use less fuel if the CPU or PG is not fully used. An empty tower now uses the same amount of fuel as a maxed out tower. If it is online it burns the specified fuel blocks per hour.
