Good basic video. There are some areas for improvement, and you don't talk about a lot of 'advanced' ideas and techniques.

Yeh i avoided anything too complex the video is aimed at people new to scanning and give them some good tips about the basics and how to get started easily.

Maybe I could do an advanced scanning tutorial some time, who knows :)

Good tutorial mate. it does cover the basics. A few pointers really(for yourself, and anyone else reading that might find it useful..). You mention speed in scanning. A few ways to increase speed, and accuracy that i've found. When setting up the probes, you use the celestial orbits to do it. While this is great, you can't always get access to these, or sometimes you want to set up the probes away from Directional Scanning.

What i tend to do, is arrange 6 probes around a central probe, using the arrow tips to arrange them. This puts them all equal distance apart, which helps for scan strengths.

Another little neat feature. You mention clicking on a nearby celestial to center the camera. You can select the actual probe itself by clicking the text(i.e. "Probe 1 4AU")

Oh, and something else i noticed you not doing. When you moved the probes, you were using the different arrows to move them. if you carefully grab the flat bit on the top, you can move them over that plane. It helps speed things up, especially, when you're trying to find someone.. or something before your enemy does...(I've had to scan myself and other BS to another wormhole before the enemy fleet did.. just landed before they did.. very close call..:D
