BMBE has a lot of BSAMR/BSAMT shares that, on purpose, have always been listed in the books at a very low value.
Once the buybacks from BSAC has been completed (BSAC estimates early/mid december), BMBE stands to "earn" roughly 10B ISK.
Ie. NAV will go up with about 4%.

So now would be a very good time to try and get hold of some BMBE shares :-) (at current value)

The BSAMT shares have been sold - resulting in a 586M ISK "profit" - with respect to the value of the shares in the books (+13%)
The BSAMR shares still remain to be sold.

Grendell, why do you want to buy shares in BMBE? Seems a wired investment!

If you invested in BMBE in December 2010 the shares would have returned about 1.5% per month (including dividend payments and NAV increase).

If you invested in BMBE in December 2011 the shares return is less than 1% per month.

As an investment BMBE has a worse return than the public bonds YOU run! Why not just invest in those.

Fact is that BMBE has been dead format for some time. TS still clinging to plan that hasn't been good investors for 2 years.
It's all good for TS as most investors probably not even in game anymore.

Some of us are still here. I still get a kick out of being here from the start and getting something nearly every month.

Sure i have made investments that make 15% a month on occasion bu that doesn't last that long.

What did i pay 50 mill per share and now 130 ish.

1 % a month is 12 % a year if i knew TS like i should of i should have put a lot more in.

There's a few reasons behind my desire to purchase BMBE bonds. I like to look very far ahead when it comes to investing, and I am quite happy with low returns so long as it doesn't add to my work load. My personal isk is always tied up and constantly re-invested actively in higher returning ventures. Which is why I use investors isk for loans/bonds as it's fun and increases my income. A buy up of BMBE shares doesn't require much isk. The shares don't really get sold very often, so it is a small purchase here and there. There are many other reasons, but I guess that should cover your question.Smile

Clinging - Ouch Bear

Lets do a quick pro/con on shutting it down vs. keeping it running

Shutting down (liquidation)
Pro :
- People get some ISK back
Con :
- Those people lose out on having a (granted meager) 100% passive income source each month.
- One less place in EVE to borrow ISK

Keep it running
Con :
- None I can think of tbh... If people want out, Grendell will gladly buy their shares. So kinda nullifies that one Pro of shutting it down.
Pro :
- The reverse of the cons above really.

So putting it on the balance, I would say it would be a net loss shutting it down pro/con wise - So why not keep it running.

Uhm huh?

Whether the investors are ingame or not doesn't make it any less or more "good" for my in any way what so ever.
The ingame mechanics to pay out the divs is used each month - So... makes zero difference to me.

In fact, some months ago an investor came back after some 3 years of absence and send me an EVE mail saying what a pleasant surprise it was to see that the ISK had been coming in each and every month in his absence (I posted the mail in a shareholder report some time ago)

I guess that's one more in the pro-book for keeping it running btw Cool

But granted, as someone once said, "BMBE ain't sexy, but it's solid" Big smile
