I quoted a man who said that oxygen is poisonous, and i corrected him.


even a poison (like oxygen) can be used as medicine, if used right/in the right amounts, so yes it is actually relevant.

No it isn't, why do you think the Apollo 1 capsule caught fire? Because they used pure oxygen, which isn't deadly unless you are breathing it in higher than normal pressures.

100% oxygen is used in controlled dosages for those things for one main reason, because during decompression your blood has highly elevated levels of nitrogen, the oxygen is used to suppress the nitrogen and balance the levels in your blood stream. If someone is not suffering from increased nitrogen and is introduced into a 100% oxygen environment their body would slowly begin to shut down starting with the brain because it is receiving too much oxygen. Pure oxygen in constant large doses is infact one of the most dangerous things a person can breath.

Oxygen does not burn, it merely increases the intensity of chemical fires by providing a reaction components.

Mostly Nitrogen with some Oxygen and some Helium or something. Basically a gas pocket where "Carbon"[sic] based life forms thrive.

Depend .. Ozone is Oxygen too and i doubt very seriously its used for any treatment

Also the oxygen or wrongly called ozone therapy is not 100 percent oxygen ..

The right percentage of oxygen entering the lungs remains critical for proper cellular functioning--too much or too little can produce adverse effects. I think that pure oxygen will actually kill the subject within few seconds if not sooner.
