Simple API Corporation ID vs Character ID question

Hello Tech Lab.

I have a question about the Eve API that has been plaguing me for quite a while and for which I could not really find a definitive answer.
Are corporation ids guaranteed to be different from character ids or can there be key clashes between them?

You mean like character A has the ID 12345 and corporation X has the ID 12345?
No that is not possible!

If you mean that corps and chars have unique number ranges, like 1 - 100000 are characters, 100001 - 200000 are corps, then it was so, before CCP switched to 64bit numbers.
