Randomness of Missions

What, if anything, determines the randomness of the missions you receive from an agent.

Today has been pretty frustrating as it's been quite literally the same 3 missions over and over and over.

"Driving a Wedge", "Blockade" and "Silence the Informant" seem to be in a constant loop.

While this isn't the end of the world, it'd be quite nice to have a bit more variety as doing the same mission string over and over gets quite old.

It's been like this for years so i doubt they'll ever setup a proper mission rotation.

What I would love to see is when you go to an agent, he gives you a list of, say 5, that you can choose from. You could also see their details before accepting one like you can now.

Great idea! Because inflation isn't already an issue or anything. Let's give people the ability to CHOSE the mission that gives a tonne of rewards.

Brilliant! /endsarcasm

It would work fine, if combined with dynamic mission rewards. Missions that players tend to dislike and accept in 95% of cases give lower and lower rewards, while missions that playes tend to dislike and reject in 99% of cases promise higher and higher rewards, until the deal becomes sweet enough that players start taking them.

List of mission would make great sense if there was a large pool to pick from and the risk vs reward was balanced, so as you get more skill and SP, you can accept the harder missions.

It would be sort of like having scanned down anomalies that have a double rating of "Class X, Level Y", which is already in game, and seem to work ok, but are randomly found, so if that random factor was just balanced out with higher difficulty to counter farming at great speed, I don't see a problem.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

nice idea would love that feature

"If at first you don't succeed, remove all evidence you ever tried"

"If your boss is getting you down, look at him through the prongs of a fork and imagine him in jail"

I agree with the sarcasm.

But I also agree with having a limited choice on which mission to take would be nice.

Declining [In The Midst of Deadspace] to get [Pot and Kettle] and then declining that (after I waited 4 hours) [In The Midst of Deadspace] AGAIN, and then [Smash The Supplier] or [Surprise Surprise] for good measure is kind of faceplanting.

True, I never got a loop of 5 amarr-killing missions in a row.
On the other hand when I see one amarr mission pop, I - preemptively - go get a mug of hot cocoa to calm down my nerves, as inevitably I'll get the next one immediately more often than not - or at least so it feels.
The three in a row happened all too often.

Sure, I'm not a true son of the Federation if I don't go crazy over a chance to go and sink some slaver galleon according to right-wing zealots, but surprisingly enough I don't get the same repetition with Caldari missions, and I thought we hate them more due to our shared history.
And the Situation in Luminaire...

"We want PvE activities to require active participation and mirror PvP more closely." Stacking penalty for NPC EWAR then? Lock range under 9km from over 100 in a BS is not fun. Nor is two NPC web drones making me crawl 10m/s. PvP SW-900 x5: 75m/s.

Seriously? You didn't have to deliver your disagreement in that manner. A simple "I disagree and here is why" would have been sufficient. It boggles the mind why some people feel they have to completely berate or chastise someone for offering an opinion or thought.

I thought Mund Richard's disagreement with my idea constructive and appreciated his view. Yours I did not Piikis.
