Why don't NPC ships attempt to pod players?

There is no design issue as Tengu pilots also lose SP when their ships are destroyed, so it seems to me this is simply a lack of implementation.

Pods should be valid targets for hostile NPCs.

Now with 100% less Troll.

Capsules are for players to shoot. It's a little thing they put in the game to help incite pvp I guess. It's no lack of implementation, however. CCP was very specific when they made the decision to PREVENT non-player units from firing on capsules.

Because then EVE would actually be the harsh place place that CCP are trying to tell us it is and everyone would quit.

I dont agree on that people need to learn people need to get "some farm" if you remove this the game will be to hard for some and this will decrease ccp income and forthat the need to get people fired of there work at ccp. So in short more people will play the more money ccp get the bigger and better expanse we get. So wrong option OP.

Some people have absolutely no concept of boundaries or limits.

agreed. i have an alt in a t1 mining barge with 0 shield/armour skills trained that can perma tank the 0.7 belt rats until her cargo is full. which takes a while since she has **** poor mining skills too.

the rats in 0.7 belts are woefully weak, this character's light drones pretty much insta pops them, although i do have quite good drone skills.

The tutorials should cover the use of armor plates and shield extenders. This would help a lot of new players save a lot of ships. If you fit a large shield extender to your osprey, you'll have no difficulty with 0.5 sec rats. I'd like to see belt rats become much stronger than they are, scaling by sec status of course. I think 0.9 should have baby rats for ultra-new players, 0.8 should have rats like the current 0.6, 0.7 should have rats like the strongest in 0.5 but also with occasional destroyers, 0.6 should have stuff that require a retriever or covetor to fit some tank, and 0.5 should have rats that discourage mining in a barge without combat support.

Veldspar and scordite should be the only risk-free ores. Plagioclase and pyroxeres should be a bit risky for new players, and require extra work for older. Omber and kernite should have a small bit of risk involved for anyone. EVE is supposed to have risk that scales with reward. More people would mine in lowsec if the ores there were worth much. But when you can get everything at nearly the same rates in highsec, there's just no point. Even the nocxium is mined in suitable amounts for the industry almost entirely from pyroxeres, rendering the lowsec high-nocxium ores unnecessary to mine.

And CCP clearly made it safer to mine in high sec.

There wasn't a drastic increase in mining activety in high sec because they made it more fun, or more risky. They made it more afk and bot friendly because the mining buff made it safer.

If players can't blow up miners effectively, than the NPC's need to in .7 and below.
CCP gave them their cake and is letting them eat it. It needs to stop. Changes that make high sec safer have a negative impact on other areas of the game
