on the serous side, wtf is up with people upset over getting a bounty? It does absolutely NOTHING to you. Sure if someone kills you they get 20% of the est insurance price from someone else's wallet.

The bounty system seems to be doing ok now..... just some minor tweaks needed...

Smack talked a guy and gave his corporation a 20m bounty. Next thing I know, I have a 250m bounty on my head and I'm told how everyone will now be after me.

It's funny, because people might actually aggress me now while I play around with the Suspect mechanics.

I started retribution with a >10b isk bounty, courtesy of an alliance bounty and a few add-ons. It's down a little since then but is still fairly substantial. My initial reaction was kinda OMFG etc but, in the few days since, I have grown to love that bounty and I think that's the view that my corp / alliance mates have also taken.

It seems to me that all the bounty does is adds a little more weight on the 'rewards' side of the pvp risk v. reward equation.

Having a hefty bounty makes people more likely to want to travel (western vale ... no secret about that) and kill us. It also makes people more likely to hisec wardec us or just try suicide gank us. These are all wonderful things. We like visitors and are keen to break out the cake and welcome them to our quiet minng / ratting homelands.

On the other side of the coin it's been great having isk trickling into my wallet as we go about our day-to-day activities in eve. It's not been a lot of isk, but it's still nice having a little extra income from doing what we do.




Awwww c'mon, don't be a tight-assed tard. Get with the program and put hundreds of billions of isk on people ... me please o/

For RvB the bounty placed on either corp is a reward system. Kill a blue, earn a little bit of isk. Given the flwet is sizeable, and the bounty not huge, the reward is small. Still, it is a reward. Heck, when and if I leave red, i'll throw a large bounty on blue as a way of thanks.

As for personal bounties, people get way too upset by them.

I got an alt with several hundred mill of bounty on him, what can you do? Nothing, that's what.

She is in a npc corp and thus safe from wardec, does not enter lowsec nor flies anything in highsec that's financially feasible to gank.

whats your point? its an isk sink, and its working as intended.


honestly, people complaining at the bounty system have me really confused, they don't even make a case, just like the op.

the only thing i can think of is that a lot of players logged in thinking they would get awesome bounties on them for their mad pirating skills and found a lousy 100k isk... xD

I am just surprised that my main hasn't gotten a bounty yet. This one who cares, it is my alias in which to post bounties. Not that I really care about my main, I just want to see how long it takes to get a real bounty. Heck at this point I wonder how long before I get 100k bounty on my main.

I will make it a contest and post when I finally do get it, and who the winner was.
