ok first this is my take on the new explosion's and sounds. This is not a rant just feed back.

The new explosion are lame as hell there unfulling and 1980's arcade game level. The old ones were ten time better. -1 ccp you took a step back on this one.

The new sounds Are lames as hell the 800's auto sound like a deep whistel not like there fire large round of ammo at a high rate of fire very unhappy about that old ones sounds 10 times betters. -2 ccp you lets us down. Jump gate sound warp sounds dont sound good at all what were you thinking. Its 2012 allmost 2013 and the explsions and sounds sound like they were takeing for a 1980's or very early 1990's arcade game. Yes i know very well what those sounded like back then i was the first in my area with a home pc and had on flopy disks over 4000 games back then so i know what games back then sounded like and looked like. and yes they were copys back then it was legel.

you did a fine patch over all but the explosion are a lame duck need to be taken out back and shot untill dead. Give us better one or give back the old ones and slap who ever did this and the sounds for me and another so they dont do this again.

Why are the new sounds aesthetically unpleasing compared to the old ones?

I for one like the new pulse laser sounds, the old ones where underwhelming.
The new ones pack an umpf. Jump gate sounds are variable now, which I do enjoy.
However, I will concede the point that the new explosion sound feels out of place compared
to the old one and any explosion I have ever heard.

I am in the military in RL and explosions DO NOT sound like the new one. However, I don't really mind it.

I used to hate the new can sound however I quite like it now. It lets me know I've got loot somewhere that needs attention.

I agree 100%. Its interesting to see that you think the same as i do. The 800mm autocannons sound very weak and as if they are fired under water. Its anything but not cool. The smaller ACs are ok, but 800 sucks really.

Eve esplosions are not worth a comparison to any other AAA game title of the last 5 (or even more) years.
Please CCP, give us some cool effects and sounds. Thats what everyone notices several times every day in eve.

If it was feedback, then there would be no need for words such as "lame" and you would be making suggestions to fix it. You have done nothing but rant. The difference between constructive criticism and whining is that the latter offers no solution to the problem that you have.

And one would think that if you were around for computer games in the 80s, you would at least know how to spell properly.

Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a long-winded, redundant post, often filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and helpful in the development of the game, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.

Feedback on the Retribution expansion can be posted here. Or you may wish to join in the thread found on the front page of GD here.
