Retribution patch - Eve crashing at login

So I've downloaded the new patch and go to login only to have the game crash to desktop from the login screen.

It says "processing bulk data" and then CTD every attempt.

Anyone else having this problem since the new patch?

Yeah the second the login gets accepted im back to desktop.

Same, but only on a single character on one account. "CCP ExeFile has stopped working" immediately after clicking on that (this) character. Other characters on the same account do not crash.

Edit: workaround (for me at least) is running the eve launcher as administrator. Switching back to non-administrator launch and crash occurs again.

We're hoping to have a fix for the crash in the next patch. It appears to come from corrupt image files, so with some luck the repair tool (or reinstall) might also fix this in the meantime. Thanks for reporting this!

Guys the issue is ctd at logon. Game cannot be played since retribution patch. I cannot reach char screen or anything. Just crash every login.
Is ccp aware of the issue or is it just me?

A possible fix is out with today's 1.0.1 patch. Please let us know if you still experience crash issues. Thank you!

I can confirm that none of the latest patches have fixed the issue. Game still CTD on login.

If I run the exe as an administrator it is a successful workaround for the issue. Still would be nice to get it fixed.

Hi, thanks for sharing, although it is sad news What? There were a few extra fixes in 1.0.3 but your post is from after that, so it sounds like there is still something wrong. Thanks for getting back to us, it means we will pay extra attention to our automatic crash gathering server. Sorry for the inconvenience... Oops

Since installing Retribution I get a crash even before the client opens to the login screen. I click play on the launcher and the client just appears in my task bar and immediately says "not responding" when i click on it. I've tried reinstalling and using the repair tool.

What's the problem and can you fix it please?

Herp derp derp, we haven't deployed 1.0.3 yet. So fingers crossed that there's still a chance we got this one nailed after today's update...

Not really... the majority of crashes we are seeing reported is caused by Mumble. Outside that, we have no luck reproing or getting more details Sad Does running as Admin also work for you as a workaround?

Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone with this variation of the problem.
The game has actually started a few times but it's like a one in a million chance.
Also opening the game as administrator doesn't work for me either.

Also i've noticed that the petition service is out of order aswell. I only get the friendly "oops" explanation.

I'm getting the client locking up with the error message "CCP Exefile has stopped working". Had it about half a dozen times in the last two hours Evil

Has been happening since retribution. Before that was rock solid (for some time at least).

Update:

Just uninstalled, downloaded the whole client and did a fresh install.

Undocked in a fleet, warped to gate and my client locked up before I landed X

I am having this issue as well. I can't even get to the login screen.

Update: It appears Mumble is playing a role in the inability to do anything.
