I got better idea, buy I-pod - and put white cable - headset to your head, to lysten EvE music form other source hardware - software, why not... Also i got another idea, what the point of having eve client in home? dont use your PC, its more fun to play EvE form other place, go to inernet cafe or to friend to play EvE, its more practically... Roll or talk with one person using two difirent phones at once Blink

I'd prefer the EVE developers to spend time developing EVE, and not have to spend time maintaining an MP3 player as well. There are other tools that do this job.

How do I listen to EvE login screen music? Can't enable it because if I enable it I also enable the in game music, which on 4-5 clients does not really do a lot of good.

Problem is that they dont need to maintain it. Jukebox was perfectly fine, no need of upgrading or changing it.

Sadly, that's not how software development works...

When you update your sound engine, you have to update all the code that uses it - including the jukebox.

Really people, go use winamp or mediaplayer or any of dozens of better music players. In this age of computing where one can easily run 2-3 Eve clients on one pc and TeamSpeak at the same time, there's not going to be much problem running a lightweight mp3 player too.

Do you play Eve for the jukebox, or the internet spaceships? It was a frivolous feature - hell they could do away with the in-game browser too for all I care. There are other, far better options, and the API is nearing the maturity needed to support what the in-game browser supports.

I bolded the important part for you, this thread isn't offical as it hasn't got the back

Ok maybe is not official (but i call it official to make it more visible for CCP) but at last still not locked like others similar therads, maybe because we dont troll here, people folow topic, and most of them avoid bad language, also stay on topic or stop posting, for personal atacks - informations, use mail in game, thanks.

Ps. If you got needs and reason you can report this therad, CCP - ISD decide.

I haven't seen this answered yet, so I'll ask it here:

How do you turn the music off? I run 2 clients and they both play the music. I've even tried changing the music volume to 0 and the volume returns back to normal volume when I restart the client.

It's a game. The internet spaceships are a frivolous feature, too.

That said, I somehow missed Eve's music (including the login screen stuff) going up on Soundcloud - guess I can play whatever I like that way.

I maintain 10 years old software just fine.

All it takes is to not have written it with the feet to begin with.

I play with 4-5 EvE clients and guess what, in this age of computing they did not provide an option to mute clients put on background so you MUST turn the music off.

You can paint it however you want, but it's just a bad implementation.

The day we get an option to selectively re-enable (only) the login screen music and / or to silence all clients but one THEN they can remove existing functionality.

BS, they put it all up on soundcloud. Open soundcloud from inside the eve browser and play the oldsoundtrack. GOD PLEASE STOP WHINING

Please stop trying to be all edgy and hardcore bittervet sounding. Soundcloud DOES NOT WORK with the partially-neutered in-game browser. This causes one to need another app running in the background in order to hear the classic Eve tracks. Having multiple apps running in the background while also trying to run the Eve client is asking for performance problems or instability and, therefore, not a good idea.

Maybe it's very 2001 to Torrfi but, I support keeping the jukebox.

You cant run a browser and eve simultaneously?

I already mentioned possible solution in another thread

All we asking is to give us control (jukebox) of soundcloud ingame so we dont need to alt-tab to desktop/browser to select track we like. Arrow no need to maintain the codecs, etc...

Just download the music and run it on your computer. No other solutions are needed. If your computer can't handle running Eve and a media player then I have some bad news about your future in online gaming...

If anyone is still having difficulty finding downloads for the jukebox songs i found this website after a bit of searching that has all the songs from inferno and down.

http://www.modenstudios.com/EVE/music/

I cant find a soundtrack of the latest expansion but i guess it has only been a few days. If anyone knows of one can you link it.

Edit: does anyone know if it would be within the eve online rules/copyright to re-compile all of the songs from the website and host them all in 1 file as a torrent? I will make an easier download source if it is within the eula.

No one knows?

If any devs run across this post could you let me know if it is within the rules/eula to repackage those downloaded .mp3's of the eve music files into a torrent to download all in one.

I dont want to do this if i can be banned for it.

Some people have had difficulty finding them so im just trying to make it easier to download them.
