That's right, I have figured out how to stop other players from placing a bounty on my character. Go ahead try it for yourself. Try to place 100k, 100 million hell 1 billion it doesn't matter how much you try to place on me the bounty will not go through. If you are interested in knowing how I do it try it to see for yourself then evemail me. I'll get back to you with the secret.

Is it possible to scam a high personal bounty, and manipulate the market price of ships/modules to get a payout by blowing yourself up?

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

didn't that happen when they changed the FW and then had to change it because people found a way to exploit the fact that you could shoot a alt in a pretty expensive but useless fitted ship

You can't exploit it like that anyway, because this does not generate ISK, it has to come from other players. The FW exploit made a craaaaaazy ISK faucet.

Considering the FW thing gave tons of LP, used to buy things then sold to other players, sure.

People keep saying this but either they or I have failed economics 101 as I don't understand how that worked. From my understanding:

I fit an FW alt in a ship that's worth a massively inflated value - no change in overall isk in the economy
I blow my alt up with my main who is in an opposing FW corp - isk is destroyed here as assets are removed from the economy
I get paid an amount of LP - no change in overall isk in the economy
I wait for a T5 cashout and buy items with my LP - isk is destroyed here since the items cost some isk as well as LP
I sell the items I got for my LP to another player - no change in overall isk in the economy

Where exactly is this faucet? It looks like a sink to me.

How is ISK destroyed when you blow up your alt? Isn't the ship and items the only things destroyed? That creates ISK because of insurance and only removes material from the game.
