Killed by drone yet no kill rights ?

Hi everyone .

Just noticed something yesterday. After a FW battle where i lost a frig from a ships drones , i noticed that i did not get any kill rights to the player who owned the drones ...

Also in the Battle log , in the description it states that i was killed by a drone yet inside the details are completly empty .

any ideas ??

Hi there.

I vaguely remember that you will get kill rights only if you do not aggress yourself... aka are the innocent passerby who got ganked. But it's ages since I have read about the aggro mechanics and I'm not 100% sure about it.

I remember someone boasting way back how he fly around area X in noobship and later used those gained kill rights to gank said people in HS.

Perhaps someone with more recent knowledge will either confirm or deny this.

You only get killrights for getting podded in low or being aggressed at all in Highsec.

also you said FW battle? was he a wartarget? if so your a legal target. no kirights. he can kill and pod you amywhere and visa versa

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
