Been reading a few of the complaint threads here and I see ppl suggesting all sorts of things that are then being shot down by others saying that doesn't work either but so far (I may have missed it) I have not seen one single player suggest to not run missions alone.

I have been running missions alone for 99% of the time for years too because as we all know there is no need and no benefit of running them together with other ppl. Well, it looks like there is at least need now. I have been in a corp that ran missions together regulary, high SP players mixed with lower SP players and it was quite fun though rewards were of course low compared to chaining them alone.

So, why not? Too much trouble? Too much coordinating? Too little money left after the split?

I and a bunch of other people i know ran missions together for new players so they could raise standing and salvage.
It is IMPOSSIBLE after the patch. I mean yeah they can salvage the room behind you but they won't get any bounties.

The problem is that unless you do missions with someone who has the same or greater tank than you(im in a marauder) then they will not be able to sustain the tank of the entire room when it switches to them from me.

Bringing more dps to counter incoming dps is a good idea in theory but it doesn't work because you cant apply dps fast enough before the incoming dps kills the other person.

It is really inefficient to run l4 missions with more than one char (in properly skilled and fitted ship). Not even counting with fact, that is really hard to "synchronise" yourself (your free time, your base, agents, ships, play style etc.) with another people to run them.

I also dont really see the point - if one wants to do pve with other people, we have already incursions or wormhole sites for that - and they also provide much better rewards than missions.

What are these EW problems everyone talks about? I haven't witnessed them yet apparently.

I really didn't have that much of a problem with either yet. I did notice the range being a bit low in some cases (Pirate Invasion in particular, Blockade has always been a bit annoying, not just since yesterday).

I find you can counter it pretty well with long range ammo/scripts or tracking links.

It is the same scenario as it was when NPCs had their ECMs improved. Suddenly, Caldari ships were to be useless. People fitted ECCM and oh wonder.. they weren't.

I cannot talk only about all kinds of npc ewar as I havent run any serpentis (damp) or gurista (ecm) mission, but changes to npc tds made it stupidly hard to finish missions like sansha blockade with any turret ship. By stupidly hard I mean being tded to 5+5k (or less) range most of the time.

Ok, so vs caldari you fit eccm. What do you fit vs sansha if you already have 2 tracking enhancers and 2 tracking computers and despite that your range goes from 48+52k to less than 10k? I guess cruise missiles, right?

at the moment tracking comps, enhancers with relevant scripts with long range ammo mean nothing I cant hit a battleship npc with radio and tc/te when he is just 17km away from me

That sounds an awful lot like you are fitting short range weapons. I didn't run into any such problems with beam lasers.
