Hi,

I d like to know if there is a way to have more than 1 criteria for sorting stuff in the overview ? For exemple at this moment i sort stuff according to their type. But i d like to sort stuff according to their type AND according to their distance. Is it possible ?

I find that very rarely is anything exactly the same distance as the overview deals with absolute values of range (Displayed as 25 km but read 25374 m) but that's for distance as primary sorter. If you want type as the primary sorter I don't think range can be the second priority (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Type will sort by size first, which is quite annoying.

Honestly I find it easiest to sort by range and then do everything else manually, a little bit of work but the best solution I can come up with, it's also the way I do it.

Well, as far as i ve seen so far, if i sort stuff according to distance then it ll sort all items in the area according to this criteria. I rather like to have stuff sorted according to there type because otherwise if i sort stuff according to distance then i have ships mixed with other type of items which isn't very nice for combat situation according to me.

that's why i would have appréciated to have more than 1 criteria for sorting stuff. So i could start by sorting stuff according to their type and then according to their distance Big smile

No, but you can remove items that are not relevant to your current objective, and you can save settings.

For example I have "mission" setting which only shows NPCs to kill. Then I have "structures" which also shows structures that can or need to be destroyed. And finally "looting" which shows wrecks and cans. It's very quick and easy to switch between them, you can even set up multiple tabs so it's only 1 click to switch.

Ok, thanks. That's what i ve already done in fact. I use 3 tabs : the default one, a combat one and a mining one. It's just that it would have been even more convenient to have the possibility to sort stuff using more than 1 criteria. But as far as it's not yet possible, i ll stick to my current tabs Blink

You cannot group stuff more than one way. What you can do is choose exactly what you want to be shown in your overview and also choose what data you want to be shown about that object.

For example, I have a setup that I use for incursions. I have it set up so that it only shows NPC's, much like Aptenodytes was talking about above. However, I've also enabled options that allow me to see my target's absolute speed, transversal velocity, and target priority as given out by the FC. The overview is a very versatile tool once you can get your head around its interface.
