If you are flagged as "Suspect" your pod is a free kill, even if not flagged as "Suspect" your pod is a free kill, they just have to put more effort into it.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

To be honest if you stick around long enough for your pod to be caught in hisec you deserve what you get. Exceptions made for those blasted insta lock ceptors >:(

I endorse pod killing for theft. I love the medieval touch EVE has got now...

You do realize that losing your ship induces a session timer that won't let you dock (or jump or whatever) immediately?

What would you petition? You could always get pod killed, it would just potentially mean concord intervention for the pod killer.

So I had fun with this on an alt. I fleeted up with a buddy, he locked on me, for fun, I removed the carebear mode and tried warp scrambling him. This was in .5 space. I was amazed at how quickly CONCORD came and we both lol'ed. But perhaps THE FUNNIEST part of the whole incident, was on my way back to the NPC station, another player killed my pod!!! LOLZ!!! It was a totally unexpected, but fun, part of the whole experiment. I can't wait to take my alt into low sec, null sec. :D

Not mentioned is the fact that if you engage a suspect, or a criminal, and lose your ship, they can legally pod you :P

Its called a session change timer, when you lose your ship it acts as if you ejected.

if you lose a ship and try to dock, you will get poded 99.9999999% of the time. unless it's a carrier trying to lock you lol

I just tested this. I got all giddy as I watched the blinky pod of the warrior who came to kill the villain disappear without Concord stepping in. Plus his pod was worth double the ship he lost.

Just had the displeasure of experiencing this myself. Some douches ganked my venture as I mined in .3 space. I got out in my pod and the only station in the solar system rejected me because of my flag for my "recent hostile actions" or some such. MY hostile actions!? Apparently being defended by ones drones (automatically) is a hostile action.

What you experienced was the case pre-patch as well. Having an aggression timer has always prevented you from docking immediately, even when that timer comes from drones auto aggressing. Low sec is generally not a safe place to mine.

Your pod warps instantly, you should never lose your pod unless in a bubble or there is a (smart)bomb involved. You can't dock (or jump) imediately after ship loss due to session change, warp away don't dock.

Nobody is actually answering his question. :p

Yes, as of the retribution patch you can indeed be podded for theft in hi sec.

Patch notes are a wonderful thing.

There are multiple replies stating he can be podded in high sec by game mechanics for stealing now. Which thread were you reading?
