As am I. We absolutely, unironically, love this idea and think CCP should make this an option ASAP. They'll see constant usage of their new system for years to come.

Not to sound like a CCP clone or someone anti- null sec since we all love null sec and want it to be bigger and bigger.

But sometimes I get the feeling some ideas are too far ahead really.

I was wondering if we could get some comments over the ore price dominance found in hi sec compared to how low isk null sec ore is. I know the ore ring mining stuff is just around the corner or a month away as well as a pos rebalance so maybe its not so smart to focus on it.

I mean it sounded like some players do take industry or mining seriously and with hi sec having the best roids, its kind of hard to. Was wondering if there are any plans to deal with it.

But like I said, I am sure a POS rebalance and ore ring mining is just around the corner then a month after that we will probably have avatars walking in stations while we celebrate CCP giving us all the free SP from the battlecruiser rebalance. So maybe it is a bit moot, but am a bit interested in it.

Instead of do this do that wouldn't the other be nice

Besides some little tweaks to retribution could we just get

  • POS done right
  • Corporate management and roles fixed properly
  • Finish the full rebalance
  • Then fix Null without the complete destruction of Hi-sec

Thanks

So far, it's hard to discuss them without many guidelines other than "Details later". So...random posts of wishlists for now, I guess.

Unless it's one of the NDA sections, I don't see anything about POS revamp on the agenda. While I wouldn't expect CCP to have fleshed out their plans on this fully yet, I'm sure their thoughts have been developing in the background so I'd ask CSM to at least informally touch base with CCP on this topic to ensure CCP are not heading off in some random undesirable direction.

My personal wish for POSes is around scalability - I'm hoping for new POSes to be everything from one-man hideout with very limited capabilities but generally secure from detection to Lando Calrisian's Sky City in space, with eveything inbetween and the ability to build modularly (if that's even a word) from A to B.

Said it before, doesn't hurt to repeat :o)

Echoing this, although the scalability you're talking about is, at least, part of what Greyscale has talked about wanting to have in the past.

What I'd like to see from a POS revamp is basically this: http://themittani.com/features/destroying-shipyards which I posted in the Nullsec thread.

Incidentally, another neat feature would be to be able to put a module on the POS that ties into the market system, but with taxes and fees set by the player who owns it. Same goes for the ability to have production and refining on a POS not be ball-crunchingly stupid as it is now. Some of the reasons are covered in the article I linked, but it would also give CCP a way to do to market fees and whatnot in Empire what they did to tax rates in NPC corps: Jack them up while simultaneously providing the tools to avoid them. Could be interesting. Bear

I was reading that article and it did finally reach a place of fairness or equilibrium.

I thought some players enjoy having a POS as a home or sorts, so wild full destruction of them would be hard to take.

So I thought perhaps what if a whole new set of POSs were added to the game. Ones that gave you what you wanted in the article with advanced features and in a way overpowered ones. But they would be more sought after for destruction. Kind of like POCOS, where overpowered, but people are suppose to fight over them.

In a way a player can kind of choose to set up a lame T1 POS, if they just want a home or basic services, and help to avoid the conflict. But an advanced player or one with more goals to achieve can pick a T2 POS to set up, that would be more stronger and useful for production or other things. But more players would be tempted to attack them and disable them. Or course there are two ways players attack in a way. For ISK or since what they blow up is so exciting to blow up. Like attack moons and perhaps POCOs for ISK, but players like to blow up Supers for the excitement and perhaps some isk, since the enemy is weaker. I wouldn't know what to make the attackable POS like. As in it drops more when killed so more desirable to attack. Perhaps a rule with so many in a region, so conflict is stirred. Or perhaps they are so powerful, players want to show up and blow them up or feel the need to to weaken opponents.

Of course the problem of Supers could happen with stronger or better POSs, as in one side is able to have them mostly, and harder for other to have them. Or perhaps too hard for small corps to have and hold them. Pretty much a proliferation problem and not sure if players could support or want another one. As in a super proliferation is enough, they don't want to worry about a POS proliferation.

Ok, didn't know where to publish this, so I do it here.

Question is simple - SecurID tokens. What happened, where are they and are they still planned together with multiple account management under one SecurID token.

They promised it in July on Fanfest, now is December and there is no info what so ever. So, please, ask them what happened and if they still plan on doing it.

CSM, please, I would really like if you guys put some more pressure over CCP for the next expansion content include the POS revamp and the technetium with planetary rings . This is verry needed. And in my opinion, the most important thing to improve the game as it stands in the basis of industry. that is the basics of the game.... there are no ships nor fights without it...

So what I ASK is:

list]
  • POS done right
  • Corporate management and roles fixed properly
  • Finish the full rebalance
  • Then fix Null without the complete destruction of Hi-sec
  • [/list]

Please, I'm putting big Hope in you guys, I will consider this the X-mas gift Blink

    I'd like to second this.

The POS overhaul has been back burner-ed by CSM meeting after meeting after meeting, We, the players, have been pushing for this since 2006. We'd like ot get it done before they turn the servers off.

Also, and this is a personal thing, but also something that is rapidly getting more people 'signed' ing than anything since the removal of ship spinning: Bring back the EvE Jukebox, before this becomes 'Burn JIta 2: the Silence'

wut? The CSM has been hounding CCP for a POS rework for as long as I can remember - certainly CSM 5 did, and probably the ones before that.

Might want to read the actual minuets. Your 'hounding' came to basically: "Is it going to happen?' 'Yes.' 'When?' 'Eventually'.'Ok'.

CSM needs to start pushing for details and maybe a time table.

I have edited the first post to include the status of the minutes. As of the morning of the 19th, we have 3 sessions submitted to CCP for NDA review, though they also need an editing pass from us. All sessions have been assigned to a person to do, with 2 of them currently planned to be done by CCP.

I thought it was a bit confusing posting all the CSM summit topic threads with an empty OP. I assumed that the OP's would be filled with content before the summit, and that the feedback would/should be in relation to details that would come in the OP.
Only now (too late) do I understand that those threads were for general feedback on the subject.

This could have been made clear by putting a line like "Please post any and all comments on #subject# here." or something like this instead of "Details later.".

Updated first post, added the part 2 sessions for nullsec and dust, and mentioned that the corp management session was cancelled.

We are closing in on getting them all done. I expect that all the sessions should be done by the weekend.
