Dose anyone dislike the new sound n visual effect of the ship explosion?

Yes, there is bug in the new explosion sound for small ships (frigates and smaller)

It will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

But what about the other larger ships?Still have no visual effects of blowing up then vanished? Why did you remove the awesome explosion visual n sound effects of Inferno version? I think it's deserve for keep!

Okay, i just did another check on listening to the explosion sound and i have change my mind (didnt notice before i zoomed in) that the new explosion sound is really NOT fitting to what i reckonise as an explosion.

Plus its 90% the same sound it makes when you deploy a can in space :/

Pls change the explosion sound to at least resemble a implosion ccp

TBH all the new sounds are pretty bad. It doesn't really bother me though so whatever.

I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

New explosions are god awful. They were a massive step backwards.

CCP, I'd suggest you actually try and use your brain when designing new graphic content. A massive ship should make a large blast, not a tiny puff of smoke with silly debris zipping out.

Just for small ships?? I think for all sizes.

What about the distance effect on explosions, gate jumps....? Shouldn't being futher away/zooming out lower the volume of the sound?

I have to agree that i am very disappointed with the new visuals and sounds too.

I noticed several dozens of threads in the last 3 years about explosions and sounds and how they should be. People were hoping for some really nice impresive fire blasts with several smaller explosions (like everyone would think of when talking about exploding ships that are several hundred meters long). They should stay for at least 5 seconds for battleships, not just one!

Sounds feel bad too. 800mm repeating artillery sounds as if fired under water and explosions are not good too.

Other parts of the expansion are good, but the effects in game (except missiles) are some of the worst i have seen since 2003...

It's the "beeep" sound whatever I do that is most disturbing, IMHO.

Like someone before said... aggro BEEEP, shoot BEEP, ship pops, BEEP... etc... please take it away. Is it the timer that does this?

Yes,thats right guys,the problem is not only the explosion sound bug of small ships but the entire ships,did you DEV guys make the explosion sound layer for all diffirent size of ships?? Rather than the only one strange explo sound ( that would be ideal if the strange explo sound will be removed n produce a new one to instead)
Plus the poor ship explo visual effects ,can you DEV guys stand the fake exist in our fantastic new RETRIBUTION? Frankly speaking ,the two effects (visual n sound) are even more acceptable in INFERNO compared with the bug sound n animation now.

the effects are bad yes. Music is great, new ship balance alone makes this my fav expansion ever. Plus the new target breaker and other awesome changes. plus FW huzzah.

But explosions? Bleh. Hire a different artist

haha!yup I think that CCP visual artist must be taking a nap while working on the new explosion effects.....

Love the new sounds. Previously, I was frustrated that you could only hear your weapons when you were zoomed all the way up to your ship. I'm glad they changed it.

The new explosion animation is pretty underwhelming as is the sound that goes with it. Please consider reverting this change because it really doesn't do justice to the overall look and feel of the game.

I think there's more to the bug than just small ships.

When zoomed way out, where you can see the 100km ring, blowing up any ship (so far) gives the horrible KLONG! sound as if someone had slammed a large iron vault door shut.

Salvaging a wreck at the same distance without looting it first gives the same loud KLONG!.

Is that supposed to be some bizarre notification that there is loot to be grabbed? If so, it's waay too loud and drowns out any other sounds when zoomed out.

I personally can't stand the new gun sounds as well either. My brother started making the sounds a little kid would make for the guns "pew pew beep pew" and it sounded just like the new gun sounds. Wimpy and cheap sounding.
