Yes, it counts.

I expect that very soon, NOT having a bounty on your head is going to become a pretty rare sight in EVE.

You open your mouth in Local: Bounty. Scam: Bounty. Any kind of PvP (consensual or not): Bounty. Known mission runner: Bounty. Incursionnist: Bounty. Miner/industrialist: Bounty. Freigher pilot: Bounty. Whining: Bounty. Smacking: Bounty. Being a well knowm EVE citizen: Bounty. Posting on the damn Forums: BOUNTY.

I agree that that new bounty system as it is is ridiculous. Learn to live with it. Smile

find an overpriced commodity, fill your cargo hold full of it to equal the bounty.

Have a friend blow your badger up.

Have him give you the bounty.

also collect the insurance on your badger, and scoop w/e loot is left as profit.

i thought it was just hull + fittings.

not hull + fittings + cargo?

It's everything: hull, fittings, value of cargo, and the value of my grandma too.

interesting...

Celebrate the new bounty system by placing an anonymous bounty on your most hated enemy! Discreet Bounties would love to help you.

If you are looking to remove pilots' bounties, the Discreet Bounties in-game channel (cleverly named Discreet Bounties) is a meeting place for bounty hunters and other pilots willing to sell locator services. Good hunting!

You believe wrong then.

i haven't really messed around with the mechanics yet, but i believe the best way to claim your own bounty would be with empty T1 insured hulls and an alt. since you can insure ships, they should offer the best bang for your isk.

It is easy to remove a bounty. Fit a ship that costs 5x your bounty, and have a friend blow you up. Since the payout will be 20% of what you were flying, your bounty will be gone.

Now do it 4 more times, as the payout is only 20% of total loss of ship and loot.

Ignore it and move on with your life, since bounty =/= kill rights.

If you get wardecced thats a potential problem, but if your corp can't handle that it would have folded eventually anyway. If you're in an npc corp and its one of those 100k fake bounties, you have nothing to worry about.

Why would we even want to stay in NPC Corps ?

I think we need to have a bit of an education session for people, people will not hunt you for your 3 million bounty, i doubt they will give even the slightest toss. For high sec your ship cost has to be enough to out weigh their ship loss and be worth their time if they plan on ganking you.

In low sec people will try and kill you regardless and if your one of the people worrying about bounties your going to die the minute you enter null sec anyway bounty or not. Just sit back and chill, wear your little badge of honour and maybe think a bit more about the vlaue of what your flying in high sec if you happen to have a huge bounty on your head,

Yup, pretty much the sore point with me. I don't have 20 Bill ISK worth of ship.

Yeah, I honestly just wish people would get a clue... Read the f'ing DevBlog. Someone suggested in Help Chat that bounties now make ganking profitable on Exhumers. Maybe on purely officer/deadspace-fit Exhumers, MAYBE... But them I'm not entirely certain modules are calculated into the bounty. I tested on a Caracal the first day, and the payout was nowhere NEAR the 20% (closer to about 8%). Even insurance PLUS the bounty didn't cover the market value of the Caracal.
