Let someone blow you up. Roll

The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly..........

Get a badger Mark I

find an overpriced commodity, fill your cargo hold full of it to equal the bounty.

Have a friend blow your badger up.

Have him give you the bounty.

also collect the insurance on your badger, and scoop w/e loot is left as profit.

Now with 100% less Troll.

Have someone destroy your ship or your pod and hope that the wealth of the destroyed ship is enough to remove the bounty entirely.

Chances are however that the person or persons who gave you a bounty will just re-apply one right away. Another alternative is to be inactive for 5 months (if I recall correctly from the dev blog, I'm sure a dev can answer this better) and the bounty will be removed from your character.

If you remain in high-sec and never end up war-decced, then the bounty will remain on you indefinitely, save for an increase of the amount in which a suicide-gank would be profitable.

Exactly!

I just got in EVE tonight and I was asking about it in the HELP chat and right away, 5 or 6 pilots drop a bounty on me just for the hell of it. Now, it is up to 3.3mil + ISK and I have not even left the station.

Pretty much, I got a bounty on my head and did not even play EVE mechanics yet. So even if you are not provoking anyone. you can get a bounty on you. That's dumb!

- Raise the initial bounty to at least 10mil and if no one get you within a month or so... Lower the bounty by a percentage until someone raise it again.

- Bounty should only be inflicted on a pilot that deserve it. NOT ME! LOL.

- Also if a pilot decide to place another amount of that pilot, he can only do it once for a week or so, therefore when you place a bounty, make sure you are placing it for what it is worth.

Thx, DEFIER.

I run a paid bounty removal program. If you pay me 50m, I'll remove your bounty.

You posted this exact post yesterday. I said that it made me want to put a bounty on you then.

It turns out that each time you post this, the urge to put a bounty on you goes up exponentially! Who knew?

Edit: Also just noticed you are a 2008 character. So you're trolling. Even more reason to put a bounty on you! Hurrah!

if a player from your own corp blows you up, does that count?

I only accept ISK, sorry. Bounty removal will take place shortly after payment.

It's everything: hull, fittings, value of cargo, and the value of my grandma too.

Yes, it counts.

I expect that very soon, NOT having a bounty on your head is going to become a pretty rare sight in EVE.

You open your mouth in Local: Bounty. Scam: Bounty. Any kind of PvP (consensual or not): Bounty. Known mission runner: Bounty. Incursionnist: Bounty. Miner/industrialist: Bounty. Freigher pilot: Bounty. Whining: Bounty. Smacking: Bounty. Being a well knowm EVE citizen: Bounty. Posting on the damn Forums: BOUNTY.

I agree that that new bounty system as it is is ridiculous. Learn to live with it. Smile
