How to lose a Golem in 17 seconds

Incomming DPS estimated at 8,700 @ Warpin.

Golem Fielded a 1750 Active Shield Tank, died within 17 seconds.

After some rough maths, the mission deals EIGHT THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED DAMAGE (per second), at time of warp in.

Pilot was unwilling to do it a second time to get a Youtube video, something about losing a 3b isk ship made him angry, what a baby.

Now with 100% less Troll.

trck is to stay atleast 50 k away from that first wave , beyond that range they hardly hit you aslong you keep moving , so doesn't matter how much dps they do
did that epic arc plenty of times
so a golem isn't the best ship to do that mission

Its been so long since I've done any missions, so I honestly could be wrong about this. But aren't the epic arc missions intended for a gang and not as much for solo completion?

The damage is easily tankable with a T2 fit drake.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Before they didn't even have AI, they just shot whatever appeared first and waited to die. Now people might actually have to learn to play rather than just being given ISK.

can we get a copy of the killmail ... from memory it should still be in your combat losses. It could just be a massive case of fail fit, or flying something when you can literally only just sit in it!!!

The different combat AIs are based on the same basic AI, but use different templates, so they act differently. It's the same "sleeper AI" that is also used in incursions, but they all use different templates and will therefore be acting differently.

Pretty much looks like someone made something wrong.

Suggestions to adapt:


  • use another ship, maybe with smaller sig
  • bring a Logi friend / alt
  • re-fit to buffer tank maybe
  • ...

Don't be scared, because being afk is not a crime.
