Lowsec is empty because it's crap. Few want to live in space that is the bastard middle child between high and null. Last I checked WH space was doing decent and it doesn't have concord.

Because if you are diligent and close your holes you can lock your own personal system off the traveled road systems and let them linger in backwater empty systems making them safer than any lowsec, or even some highsec systems.

Oh, look! Yet another thread suggesting that the balance of power, now that it is actually a bit more balanced, should be shifted back to favor the same people as before.

Breathtakingly transparent whine.

You're in EVE, you're a PVP player.

Protip: shooting isn't the only way to PVP vidya games.

Yes, it is time. I advocated this when I was reading about the new Crimewatch system and checking up on the new flagging system that goes with it. Thought it would be a great addition, especially as having Concord show up and obliterate target instantly doesn't leave much for the players to do.

Not to say they should be eliminated, so much as modified. I believe I suggested they should be destructible and use the Sleeper AI template. Tough, but not invulnerable, and with reduced response as you drop security levels. Possibly slower response times too, and that might be a good place to start.

This has already been done, and it didn't end well. m0o

I'm not knowing or concerned with the OPs intentions regarding this, or anyone following as I've not actually read the thread really, but as far as I'm concerned, Concord is less important now, and they are pure NPC. Players have the ability to defend themselves and each other somewhat better now than before, and I don't see why we should continue to have an overpowered police force that is effectively unstoppable and inescapable.

It's counterproductive to both the new Bounty system, and the ability of players to respond more effectively and securely to threats with the changes in Retribution. Why give players the ability to legally attack--en masse--a suspect or criminal under the new flagging system, when they can only effectively engage the suspect?

Concord will just show up and obliterate any Criminals that happen to be potential targets well before players have a chance to engage them unless it is in defense of their own ship as they're being ganked. Is that pointless mechanics? Unless you encounter them in Low or Null, I think it is. The suspect flagging is alright though.

Why do you want all carebears to quit eve and CCP to go bankrupt? Or, if CCP manages to hang on despite massive revenue drop, why do you want high sec to be as empty as low currently is?

Because he's just dumb or a troll.
Nullbears don't realize they are the minority.

I think the best way is to remove security at all. Concord should be removed too.
I'm getting tired of nullbear tears.

Whatever.

CCP will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever remove CONCORD because objectively speaking:

- Most players are cowards in regard to using, or absorbing violence. I don't mean this as an attack, and it has more to do with lack of exposure to difficulty than personal traits, but it's true. Most video game players are utter cowards when it comes to losses in video games.
- Most players are extremely cheap when it comes to funding an effort as a group. It's the classic free rider problem; although there exists an externality for a player-run police force, and one could very realistically be created and managed with proper ISK funding, players will refuse to pay for it because why should they, when someone else can, and they can just use the service for free?

As a terrible human being (in-game), I am still fully willing to agree that this game would melt away, wicked witch-style, if CONCORD is ever removed. Proper player policing will never happen. Even the new kill right system that was rolled out a day ago will mostly be used for scamming purposes. Legitimate kills will be rare, simply because they require the cowardly majority to be proactive with their guns. It won't happen.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

With the onset of retribution I can't help but feel that this system is lackluster at best. Yes some epic stories will be told, but for most people it will be business as usual.

I think this opens up a great opportunity for CCP...

Ease up on concord, make it easier to kill people and get away in highsec.

(Silly Idea:
Concord Tracking: he longer you stay undocked from a station or from activating agtes, the longer time it takes for Concord to respond if you do something bad. This would not only make it easier to gank people in highsec, but it would help expose pirates :D)

Eve is all about removing as much Dev involvement as possible, this new bounty system seems like the first step of many to removing concord (or at least it should be ;)

short answer No , if you want a free for all move to low sec or null sec
demanding a change in game mechanic so you can commit crime without having to worry about concord is just lame and will not happen

Gankers and griefers demanding that they should be excempt from the new game mechanics are really starting to irritate me

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

Sorry no. Although Concord is an evil, it's a necessary evil due to the player menace.

Actually I've seen more from high sec miners and +5's, asking for time limits, an ability to buy themselves out of a bounty and or just being exempt due to their sec status.

My source here,
and here.

You can of course, provide proof of what you say with a source?
