How many of you prefer the old Locked Target display over the new one?

This would not be true since many didn't like the old system.
I suspect that many who don't like the new, also didn't like the old.

Personally, I like the graphical display of who is damaging you the most.

This, pretty much. I wasn't too fond of the old system. And I don't really like the new system, it's not clear enough at a glance, and not intuitive enough. Given a choice though, I'd probably go back to the old version. Somehow square targeting in a game full of square windows (overview, D-scan, local, etc.) looks better to me, more consistent. However, if they re-do the UI so that all windows have rounded corners? Might be better. Readability should still be improved though.

Being the Gallente God that I am, I find so far that neither old or new really help me where it counts. That's as a functional drone UI.

Although once I have my new drone strategies worked out and start on the actual targeting and using my turrets, I think the new one will be no better or worse than the old. Just different.

when u get targeted buy npc or player u get a yellow box, when they shoot u get a red box
what does the red circle around the ship represents? its really annoying and it makes me dizzy because of the diffuse in color

the target icon its really hard to make difference between shield armor and hull and during fights u don't really wanna focus on them to really see them need to be able to notice them whit your peripheral vision what u cant really do now at least in my case

BRING BACK MY OLD TARGETING SYSTEM !!!!!

The red circle is an incoming damage reference.
The ones with the brightest and biggest circles are doing the most real damage to you.

Don't like the new targets.

I don't like crapping on peoples hard work but i think this is a step backwards. As circles i find it harder to get a sense of scale for each hit. The old one was simple and informative and took up less space. The new rings are harder to read and the new circular shape even crowds in the ship icon in the middle. I actually like the old 'cleaner' look better. It didn't get in the way like the new system.

The red glow is much too big for most engagements and further degrades the view. They really should be smaller.

Aesthetics < functionality. Dosen't offer anything new but does eat up screen. Sorry. Ugh

Yea, I said this on a test server and there was almost no reaction.

Those new bars (HP/Armor/Hull) are very hard to read.

Whatever.

Much in favor of the new one, very intuitive and easy to read.

For those complaining that it's too big, a size comparison was done. I think you'll be surprised, and a bit embarrased by the results. Smile

Part of the problem is that the new bars are actually loose collections of boxes. There is (too much) space between the segments.

Not wanting to sounds like an old stink in the mud.... but I prefer the old.

I think I could get used to the new if only the mini ship portraits were not so f'ing dark - the nice thing about the old was that you could easily see the ship type, this new one makes it bloody hard.

I'll try playing around with my brightness/gama.
I've done some really stupid shit in this game.

My first thoughts last night after a fight were literally, I wish they bring back the old bars. Its pretty annoying to have to squint to see their hp in the middle of a fight. CCP WHY U NO LIKE BARS Evil

it's pretty terrible, the locked targets stay in position rater than move down in ther order you locked them, so you are constantly squinting to see which is the next target as the pictures of the ships are so vague. I list targets vertically and now only 3 fit upwards? that means with 7 locked targets I will have 3 columns of targets.

I can even stomach that if the new damage notifications didnt give me brain cancer, why The F*** have a constant stream of unreadable text scrolling in the middle of the screen? I heard rumours that I can move it, or even get rid of it.

Why are there big red blobs around enemy ships? This and to the already messy messy over view.

When engaging multiple war targets they flash on the overview. For some bizaar reason certain targets flash out of sinc with the rest again making it a complete headf**k to look at.

The circular locked targets are very hard to read, it is very confusing to quickly assertain how much damage a volley/strike is doing against your target without hovering your mouse over it. They are also too far apart on the screen.

In all, it it far, far too busy and meesy than before displaying pointless crap and colours for no reason, in a very poor manor for anyone engaging multiple targets, or running missions against multiple targets.

Please make my Christmas and let me use the old system. this new one is abysmally poor.

The only redeeming factor is the new skills allow me to be unprobable again so I can run missions whilst tabbed out, thus avoiding need a labotomy before bedtime after looking at the screen.

I thought I wouldn't like it...but i've gotten used to it and now I like it better. I get a much better sense of where the targets HP levels are at.
