Yup i am also getting:

please recheck your internet settings and restart the EVE: online launcher

Thats the problem with feeding crystal meth to the hamsters... it worked great for them yesterday with the patch deployment (smoothest expansion ever, by far), but today.... the hamsters are sort of cranky :)

Same problem here...15 seconds into the process I get the "cant reach the URL"-message

Edit: Works now!

I'm in the exact same boat. Although it seems to be working for some, I've been checking every five minutes or so to see if it will load this time to no avail. Would really like to know what is up, and if this is the kind of thing I should start to expect from future patches

theyve had their high... now theyre crashing horribly!

edit - yay! someone pushed the button to say "you there.. you shall have a working eve client!" =)

Sounds like mandatory after patch Ooops moment from ccps point of view. ;) Clearly they forgot to do something and servers went bonkers...

I have a same problem =\
i was forced to download a full client via proxy a week ago
but i cant download a full client after every patch.. =\
