they either reduced the chance of the mission being given, or they removed it and put it somewhere else.

the price went from about 300m or so, all the way up to just over 1bn.
sadly, i purchased mine after the change and paid the 1bn.

and you get a random mindlink so, not nerfed just random is random and random and I mean as random as a 3% implant random.
Also the addition of new missions effectively reduces the chance of getting the Shipyard theft storyline, effectively driving supply down, When mining is at an all time high!!

P.S.
I hear that some one got one as a drop not to long ago, it looks like its still dropping.

We will need some one who really knows their facts in here to put us all streight Ccp Caugf... Achoo... Hint hint HINT...
Because, I never got one to drop for me, ever and I doubt any one exists in the game who has gotten it to drop in every place that it can possibly drop from, including other peoples orca's.

They drop reliably from certain lowsec location.

There is a chance it will drop from the "Shipyard Theft" storyline mission. As far as I know this is the only way to get it other than buying it.

You get one of I believe 4-5 different implants from the mission so say a 1 in 5 chance of getting the mining foreman mindlink implant.

With the changes to agents and the new storyline missions added you now have a much lower chance of getting the mission, and only a chance of getting the implant if you do get the mission. This is the reason it has gone up in price. it still drops. They did not directly change its drop chance. They just added missions so that you have a lower chance of that mission coming up. For some reason it is actually extremely rare now to get the "shipyard theft" mission.
