WARNING; CONTAINS HIGH LEVELS OF tl;dr!!!!!

I'm obviously missing something here.

How is locking myself in the cab of a truck to avoid a physical confrontation at four (possibly five if cacky drawers had wanted to play) to one odds cowardice? I'd say it was more along the lines of an appropriate response and sensible caution.

Would you stand still so four rather large blokes could beat the crap out of you because one of their relatives had tried to commit hari-kari by trying to bury his car in the front of a sturdily built truck? That's not bravery; that's stupidity.

I do not measure my manliness by how willing I am to stand still for a beating when I don't have to.

I will admit that making the irritating hand gesture probably didn't do anything to calm the feral lackwits down, but then it wasn't meant to. I was amused by the unfettered rage displayed and was giggling when I was alluding to suspected Onanism amongst the slavering inbreds rather than snarling back. Calm you see.

My "word" (although I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that in this context) is worth the same avoiding a drubbing at the hands of some of the most unpleasant folk I've ever meet as it is marching into the face of what would surely have been a severe kicking and quite probably hospitalisation.

I have no doubt I did the right thing... well, more or less. Athough I do slightly (very slightly) regret winding them up from the safety of the cab (it isn't big or clever to wind folk up when they are already several notches past fever pitch) I'd have to have been a saint to resist the temptation; it was funny watching their feeble efforts to gain entry to the cab, so I went for it.

If I'd spent twenty years in Ninja school or the Marines or the SAS/Spetsnatz/Mossad (delete as applicable), like seemingly half the shiptoasters on the internet, no doubt I'd have waded into the fight with gusto and I'd have a slightly different tale to tell. There might even have been room to squeeze a dragon or two in. Sadly I'm just your slightly larger than average but not as hard as Chuck Norris guy and I really didn't fancy getting my teeth kicked in (or out) through not being able to tell when I'm going to come off second best.

The outcome was laddo went to hospital, just in case, I got a spare suzi out the cab to plug in in place of the ruined one at the back of the cab and after the local garage had been out to look over the truck to make sure it was safe, I collected my load and drove back to base.

The idiot who was industriously sawing at the electrical connector when the rozzers arrived didn't realise that both the airlines and suzis between the truck and the trailer can be undone by hand in seconds and Mr Nasty "you're going nowhere mate" got arrested, charged and convicted of criminal damage. Justice was, for once, done.

Incidentally, I am sure Dacloth that you do indeed know zack irl. That would be unavoidable really as I suspect you are one and the same person.

Dacloth's forum history makes interesting, and very short, reading. It seems to be confined to this one thread and is wholly in support of zack and the "style" (and I use the term in it's loosest possible sense) of Dacloth's febrile frothings are very similar indeed to zack's. Funny that Dacloth should ignore the forums for all his (limited) time in EVE but takes an interest when zack is raging and frothing and looking silly.

Like I said, sockpuppet. And a lazy and dense one at that; it would have taken you but a few minutes to create a different alt to post with... one that's not in the same corp (presumably a cyno alt or somesuch) and it might have been less obvious then.

Who's the real coward?

Get well soon.

Edited 'cos I'm as much a grammar storm-trooper on my own posts as other folk's.

Standard internet argument technique #13457; the "He mad" ploy.

You got to do better than that mate... I'm not the one who divides his time between contemplating assault and driving dangerously as a result of perceived transgressions of the rules of the road and sitting in bars with blue balls upset that my significant other isn't as cheap and obvious as some.

Have a read back through. I can be accused of a lot of things. Sarcasm, excessive verbosity, pompousness, an unseemly and callous disregard for the feelings of sockpuppeteers, using the most tenuous of reasons to trot out one of my favourite "I used to drive trucks you know" tales and maybe even delusions of relevance, but I'm not mad (as in angry mad) at all.

That's not to say I am incapable of getting mad; just that you haven't done enough to inspire in me anything more than vaguely amused mild contempt and a nasty suspicion that if I lived anywhere near you I'd have to keep a close eye on my pets.

Have yet another go.
