Find a home for new players - best way to go about doing so?

As someone new to EVE, what is the best way go about finding a corporation that isn't looking for millions of skill points? Is the in game corp finder the best tool? I spent some time browsing it and had "new players" checked off but the ad for the corp said if you're under XX skill points (it was several million) don't bother.

Trying to find a corp for the wife and I as I'm sure playing EVE would be a lot more fun with others.

There are many fine corporations out there that put more emphasis on activity and attitude than raw skillpoints, so do not give up looking.

Try not to fall for recruitment scams, and be patient. A good corp will make your EVE experience so much better.

I heared of a channel called "unemployment", maybe that is still active.
