New interface and how CCP is forcing itself on us

I want a legitimate response from a legitimate CCP employee rationalizing and explaining WHY these inefficient and BAD looking UI changes (Note the Inventory system) are FORCED upon us. These changes are not an improvement, were you even thinking of people who want to have more than 1 target at a time? these "circles" cover the entire screen. Why do you insist on fixing things that arnt broken? Why not include a feature that allows people to use old or new or at least let the players decide what (irrelevant) changes they approve of.. Who are you making this game for? clearly you don't care what the playerbase wants (the people who allow you to keep your job).

I have spent a good amount of years on this game and until now i wasn't extremely unhappy with anything. This new Targeting UI is absolutely ******** and whoever designed it should be fired.

If this thread gets instantly locked I am canceling 7 eve accounts.

How about upgrading your monitor. They have very cheap monitors bigger than the 14" CRT you are using.

Yep it literally makes no sense. Especially considering that they just force the changes on evreybody without giving even an option to change back to another style.

WHY CHANGE SOMETHING THAT WAS PERFECTLY FINE?

Nobody wants this ****** new interface, give me an option to use a different client CCP, this is ********.

Despite it being a bannable offense, (I assume) I hope somebody modifies a client to use the old targeting and combat ui, because I'd definitely use it over this crap we have right now.

I'm playing on a 24" 1920x1080 panel and the targetting UI is horrid - takes up more space while being harder to read the information in that space than the old version = step backwards. Sure I will get used to it eventually but its still a step backwards from what it used to be in terms of function.

It looks very flashy - and is probably great for PVE - but I was just in a fairly frantic fight involving capitals and t3s and it was really really horrid to deal with.

Some of the UI stuff is great but a lot of it like the targetting stuff is just a change for changes sake and is completely un-necessary.

I don't mind the change but why isnt it scalable? (and dont say ui scaling coz that ruins the rest)

Couldn't you perhaps have whined more when it was still in development? Ok, guess that's a bit of a troll, since i think it was over 30 pages of people not liking it, but it went ahead anyways.

I'm sorry, but if you want choices in how you enjoy your game, you simply have to find another game. They've said as much repeatedly by making changes and not giving you options.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
