Customization is a lie.

Can you please for the love of all things decent add a feature in to turn off or adjust 'new' features to older/different standards. This giant blinking red button on my screen annoys the crap out of me. I haven't needed a safety in Eve since 2004, so why would I need this auto-resetting thing now? Also, the circles are aesthetically unpleasing, I would like to be able to change the appearance to the previous standard; the same goes w/ the UI and the inventory. This wouldn't be a difficult fix, and I think it is the least you could do in the interest of maintaining a sense of credibility when you espouse 'new and customizable'.

Logged in after being away for a couple of weeks, and while the new UI is nice in theory, the targeting icons are just too big.

Also, for a game that came out almost 10 years ago, the only two things on the screen you can move around are the overview and chat box. With "new and customizable" stuff, that feature should have been introduced, oh... around the time the new ship graphics were implemented, circa 2008.

I think the safety is for the newbies, but I have no idea why its needed except for this new bounty mini game.

In-game sounds muted since Retribution, F10 Jumper since Odyssey

By that definition, any actual criticism constitutes trolling. I wasn't and am not trolling, this is a feature that I would like to see in the spirit of customization, the ability to actually customize my eve experience in an meaningful way.

I can live with everything listed but the UI is still a pile of crap, 1 tiny tick to let me have the old inventory system back would make my Eve life so much easier.

Whomever is making the last few years decisions on what changes are to be implemented in this game, must hate Eve with all their being.

Yea, the unified inventory is wretched, and it didn't even address the problem it was designed to address as I see it. It was supposed to make it easier to see the contents of items in your assets, but that problem still exists as the assets window is still the same.

The only thing I can advise you to do when you are happy/unhappy about certain features introduced in Retribution, is posting them in the official feedback thread. It gets read by CCP very thoroughly, so you can be assured it gets noticed by the appropriate people.

It was aimed at me. Smile

Don't worry I'll get bored of trolling and go back to Rift soon.

Funny how most other MMORPGS don't seem to inspire this level of bitterness when they release new content.

It's not the change, it's my lack of ability to mitigate change that upsets me. It's patch notes touting customization and innovation while simultaneously not delivering on either.

Please post feedback on EVE Online: Retribution here.

Do not create additional threads for it, as this spreads out feedback and some might not be seen.

I'm very happy with retribution but I have some reservations about the safety feature as has been noted.

The circular target is a good idea but if their intention was to mimic the player HUD then why did they not make it a true copy so we can properly compare it to our own HPs etc?

I'm not sure why they don't open up the interface for player development.

As I said though, good work on this one ccp!
