Fozzie

While I am happy you are fixing this fail as I enjoy keeping people alive more than most I am more concerned about something that has been bugging me for a while now.

As is stated in the description of the Armored Warfare Link - Rapid Repair module it says " Increases the speed of the fleet's personal and targeted armor repair systems. "

Can I draw your attention to the first part of that statement aimed at the personal Repair Systems in relation to capital personal repair systems as I have never in my time in eve seen any improvement in my capital local repair systems cycle time with warfare link's active as I see with targeted armor repair systems.

Just like with the Armored Warfare Link - Damage Control modules not applying any bonus to personal repair systems capacitor need for capital based modules.

While addressing the obvious screw up can you also look into addressing the local based bonuses for capital modules.

NOTE: I am not bias to shield or armor and would also make the same request for shield based capital local module bonuses I just have no testing information for shield based Warfare Link's but I can only assume if they are broken ( as the description of the modules suggests ) for armor they may also be broken for shields as well.

maybe the missing effect on capital local reps is the reason for this whole issue?

You should read up on the part where the change is going to be reverted as soon as reasonably possible. Roll

That's what the defect report started as, then it got merged into an older defect report with incorrect information.

We do want to make things like this work consistently, but we're not really interested in buffing local capital tanks that much. So we're going to be looking at this again. I can't promise the changes will be ones most people like but they will be more complete and thought out.

Tbh. I don't understand CCP. The is a serious error that should be handled by the quality assurance.

When I would working as a quality manager like CCP I would not be able to pay for a glass of water. I invested 2 years into a pilot for 2 different carriers with the purpose to make smallscale PVP and make it possible not to die in the first minute to dreads and BS.

Nerfing the carriers in the future useless will cost you more than one account.

Nah, the point is, nerfing the tank of the archon would it make impossible to get into small to medscale fights with a carrier. You need today just some dreads to kill one. And Fozzie is writing about nerfing the local tank in the future. Which ship will you support with a triage carrier, when 1 dread is killing a carrier? The result will be, that carriers will be used as a transport ship. Many trained to carriers for 20 or more months to get a support ship for their fleet. I dont pay for this game, when this will be happen.

IMO carriers on the whole are fine just tweek the fitting issues with the ones that have an issue and your good.

as for nerfing i think you read wrong applying the warfare link bonuses to Local capital modules would not be a nerf but more of a buff.

Proberbly why its taken so long to get addressed.

I dont see how reducing cycle time on capital local reps is a nerf neither do i see how reducing the capacitor use is either.

I dont see any issue with carriers since the triage time went down to 5min. When CCP is now trying to nerf the carriers because TEST is fielding the slowcat (Archon fleet with RR and high resistances) CCP will stop medscale in low too. I dont comment this bad idea anymore. When PVP below blob isn't longer interesting for CCP, I'm not interested in CCP.

Yup the implications of the change were not spelled out very clearly, we should have put a lot more explanation into the note. What it means is that no modules or skills will affect the capital remote assistance mods unless they are explicitly programmed to. So that applies to gang mods, rigs, implants, and skills.

So... you removed a 25% cap bonus from the regular skill, increasing the cap use by those already cap-heavy modules by 33% without compensation in either the modules stats or the cap of the ships that use them?
Without announcement? Without planning? As "ooops"? Are you for real?

Props to Fozzie for the quick response on this one.

in terms of mechanics changes this patch is HUGE, one or two glitches or errors are to be expected.

Actually the cap use part was compensated for. It was the only thing that was compensated for but small victories right?

Most people are trying to be polite here, but I won't.

Whoever came up with this idea of nerfing mods without telling to playersbase tht spent millions of SP on training to specific mods, thus spending shitload of real money on subscirption for their accounts is a simple [redacted]. Feel free to ban me and my alts since I'm not planning to keep subscription running. I'm sick you you retards who cannot do something properly without [redacted] up something else. Sometimes I wonder what happeend to devs that actually made this game. Fire these incompetent [redacted] and get hire people who can at least write patch notes properly and explain to palyer base how upcomming changes will affect them. I'm fed up with your "Oops, sorry, we just [redacted] up again. Please bare with us and get over it."
